Comfortable hotel, close to key attractions

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Comfort, close to attractions
Cons: Things will be better after renovations are complete
Location: Close to Mercado, Riverwalk, Alamo, main roads
The hotel is currently going through a change in ownership and renovations, so it will be interesting to see when everything is done. It was clean and very close to the Mercado and Alamo, which made for it being a great choice for us. Plus, there is a post office across the street, great for sending postcards and such. Breakfast had Texas-shaped waffles, which was rather cool. Comfortable place - we'd stay there again!

A total dump, mold and graffitti everywhere

Posted Mar 9, 2015
I was shown three rooms. Each had dark mold everywhere, cracks in the ceiling, holes in the walls, graffiti carved into the bedboards, etc. I cancelled the rest of my reservation and went to a hotel down the street.

No King size bed as advertised. Heater broken

Posted Feb 27, 2015
I was tricked into getting a king size size bed. I ended up getting a double queen. Night was cold. Had to use up all their blankets to keep warm. Heater was broken. Ended up leaving at 6 AM. Couldn't stay there any longer.

Awful

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Good distance to downtown but I would never stay here again and cringe each time I see any america's best value inn motel.
I was very disappointed because I did not receive anything I booked the room under. They seemed unprepared for our visit and were whispering back and forth before saying they don't have a room available. The first room they showed was filthy and looked so bare (so much for the fridge and microwave....nothing). The next room looked cleaner and a tad bit more decedent but the door didn't lock from the outside...we were able to walk right in. I tried to argue and say I shouldn't be charged a fee or cancellation fee as I didn't get anything as promised when I booked online but he said I would be charged regardless. The webiste did not mention they were going through renovation. The pool was empty, somewhat...dirty water filled a little bit. I saw empty rooms, one with a toilet in the middle and other with all sorts of junk...over all, just dirty!

Room was disgusting. There was mold on the ceiling and on the pillowcases. The curtain was ripped, as was the lampshade. Previous decor and the wall safe had been ripped down. The pool was empty of water but full of trash. Person at front desk was extremely rude and said "this was the best room in the hotel." We left immediately, did not even sit down or unpack. Stay here at your own risk.

Very Disappointing

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cleaner, Security to follow up on inappropriate smells, new fire alarms so that people really are and feel safe.
Sent my two girls to a Air force graduation ceremony. When they got to there room, the hallway smelled liked pot. In there room the fire alarm was hanging from wires. Room stunk like smoke. When they told me, I made them get out and went to a cleaner company nearby.

HOTEL CENTRICO

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: LO CENTRICO
Cons: EL HORARIO DE DESAYUNO EXTENDERLO UN POCO MAS
Location: ESTA CENTRICO DONDE PUEDES ANDAR CAMINANDO Y DUSFRUTANDO DE DICHO LUGAR
LA ESTANCIA FUE BUENA , ESTA MUY CERCA DEL CENTRO, LA ATENCION FUE MUY BUENA POR PARTE DE PERSONAL QUE LABORA EN DICHO LUGRA, EL DESAYUMO ES BUENO Y SOBRE TODO LA SEGURIDAD TANTO INTERNA Y EXTERNA ES BUENA
