My son and I stayed for 3 nights during Spring Break.
When we arrived, valet was kind and, even though there was a long line of people waiting, was quick.
When we checked in, the staff member at the front desk was kind, thorough, and quick.
Our room was much larger than I had anticipated. (Side note: the view would have been amazing if it wasn't for construction at the Alamo, but that's no fault of the hotel so no stars docked for that). The room was cold, which I appreciated.
Our room was above the tavern and the live music ended around 830pm each evening. I did not find the guests dining to be overly loud after the music ended.
I also did not find the Alamo construction to be a noise issue, either.
The location of the Crockett Hotel was perfect. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
The only complaint we had was the wifi was not that great in our room. The TV didn't stay connected to streaming services (Netflix, Youtube, etc) and our phones didn't stay connected. That said, we didn't dock any stars for that because we spent a very large part of our stay not in the hotel.
