Perfect location for River Walk

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Easy access from the freeways. Perfect location for downtown, the Alamo, the River Walk, eating, entertainment, etc. The balcony was a plus and the room on the 7th floor has easy access to the exercise areas and pool.

Awesome Hotel and Staff

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: We liked everything. The staff, the rooms, the food, the drinks and the convenience of being right on the Riverwalk was exactly like we expected.
Cons: WE saw absolutely nothing that required improvement.
Location: There are restaurants and shops on the Riverwalk, The Alamo is within walking distance as were churches. Architecture is abundant and impressive.
Check in was painless and really quick. The lobby was immaculate. The room was clean and cool. The thermostat actually cooled the room to the perfect temperature. The Staff was so helpful with directions, recommendations, even down to calling a cab for departure. Breakfast was awesome with so many choices like eggs with cheese and ham that you can add, potatoes, donuts, oatmeal, muffins, and make it yourself waffles. The evening snack station was great. You could have hotdogs, nachos, and other goodies. Check out was even easier with a notice slipped under the door that morning with your total. The Riverwalk was only an elevator trip away as it took you directly to the Riverwalk level and to the hustle and bustle of all the shops and restaurants. Next trip out that way and I'll definitely be looking to book at the Drury Inn and Suites San Antonio Riverwalk again.

Nice Convenient Location

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: The hotel had nice rooms, a good breakfast, and free drinks and snacks in the evening.
Cons: The bathrooms are very small. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and it was not always easy to get things done. 2 adults would find it ok.
Location: The hotel was further away from the center of things than we were used to. We found this NOT to be a problem at all. The walk was pleasant.
We have never stayed on this side of the Riverwalk before. We were pleased with the walk and enjoyed being in a totally different environment.

relatively good location, but next to bus stop wit

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Rooms are large, beds comfortable, again good proximity to popular river walk restaurants.
Cons: update carpets, staff training
Location: river walk, malls, restaurants
relatively good location (near popular sites) on river walk, but the front door is near a bus stop with vagrants/derelicts around. Didn't fell very safe walking to more poplar sites on the river walk. The front staff weren't very helpful and the young lady seemed put out with simple requests -- such as any doormen? No help with luggage, had to leave the wife in the car and bring luggage to room, then go back to car and drive to room floorparking. The cleaning staff were friendly but our room was not turned when we came back from activities---at four in the afternoon Carpet in hallways --and rooms is very dated, even sticky feeling, wish I had shower sandals.

overnight

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: He friendly staff, the great breakfast, and that it was just steps away from the river walk
Cons: Nothing
Location: very good location
We went for the night, booked on expedia and had no problems. The front desk attendant was so helpful, she was the best that I have ever encountered. I would go back again! Loved the hotel and the breakfast was the best!

Where we're staying from now on

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: comfortable beds and linens, location on riverwalk, value for price paid
Cons: update to modern decor
Location: Texas Land & Cattle restaurant located directly below hotel; near main artery of riverwalk
We've been to the Riverwalk many times in the past year, and we have now found the hotel we are going to stay at every time from now on. The location was great, wonderful river views from many locations throughout the hotel; room was spacious, beds and linens were very comfortable. Rooms could use some updating, but that didn't bother us much. They have a free buffet and happy hour (3 free alcoholic drinks for adults) every evening, which was a nice suprise. The breakfast provided many options and was very delicious. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and will be returning soon.
