Nice hotel river walk and vicinity not so much.

A very Good Hotel with Great Staff. Free breakfast and happy hour was also very good. It had been about 40 years since I had been to the Riverwalk area and I am very disappointed there are too many homeless or drunks hanging around, I didn't like having my kids see it. My wife was not comfortable with it either. With that exception I "might" stay again sometime.

Great location to River Walk.

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Accessibility to city attractions.
Cons: Vending machines ran out of water, so had to go outside the hotel to buy some.
Location: River Walk and Alamo are right next to hotel. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance.
Conveniently located next to River Walk and Alamo. Great hotel for a family with it's free breakfast and late afternoon snacks that are more like a meal.

Awesome location!

My husband and I stayed here for our 4th anniversary. The room and hotel extras were amazing. The only thing bad was the fridge had not been cleaned out from the last guest. We brought this to the attention of the staff and we received a discounted rate for our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel!

Pros: Location, location, location. Its right in the heart of the riverwalk.
Cons: Size of the bathrooms, and possibly the size of the dining area in the lobby. We had a hard time finding seating.
Location: Lots of great dining and entertainment options, and we basically just parked the truck and walked everywhere the whole weekend.
This is a very nice hotel that is close to the busiest part of the Riverwalk - maybe 15-20 yards from the restaurants. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was TINY, so if you care about that, you should probably find somewhere else. The recliner in the room was a nice touch. We stayed in room 205, which is on the second floor (the first floor with rooms on it), and we were very close to the street. My husband said that the cars and people were pretty loud until late at night. (I wear earplugs, so I never even noticed.) Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The appetizers each night and the breakfast in the mornings were standard. The parking is self-park, and the parking garage is LOW. My husband's pickup just barely fit, so a word to the wise: if you are driving a vehicle that approaches 6' - you may have to park somewhere else or drive a smaller car. This is a perfect destination to park and walk everywhere the rest of your stay. Very close to a ton of restaurants, night clubs, the Rivercenter Mall, and all kinds of entertainment options. Overall - very nice hotel, in a great location with friendly staff and standard amenities. If you want less noise, I would suggest a room on an upper floor higher than the 10's (512, etc.), or possibly not with a river view.

Nice hotel right off the river walk

Great location and friendly staff. The lobby drinks in the evening are a nice touch and the hot breakfast in the mornings. The room was pretty clean but the bathroom cleaning needed much more attention.

Great hotel on the Riverwalk

Staying at the Drury Inn was a fun experience. The location to the Riverwalk is perfect. The staff were friendly and allowed us to park early, check in early, and park after check out. The food offered helped keep our stay affordable. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The pool area was really pleasant as well.

Great location and that's about it

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The location
Location: Lots of dining and shopping close to this area
Location Location Location that is all there is to this hotel. I paid ALOT OF MONEY for three days. Rooms are old, the hall ways smell and the A/C sucked. I chose this hotel because of the extras. Breakfast is the same every single day, it's tolerable. The kick back is disgusting, baked potatoes so hard you can throw them like rocks. We did enjoy the popcorn and free drinks. The pool and hot tub has so much chlorine in it you physically can not breath and the smell stayed on our bodies well until after we left even after bathing. Had a bill descrepancy and staff looked at me like I was crazy after presenting them with there own error. It took my bank to talk to them to let them know they double charged me for my already OUTRAGIOUS room. But with a quick fax it was settled. All other staff are absolutely delightful though. Do yourself a favor save the money stay some where else the extras aren't worth it, you will spend extra on food any way. There are nicer hotels on the riverwalk.

Great hotel on the riverwalk

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: I liked the location and all the amenities.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The Alamo, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Hard Rock Cafe and several varieties of food and drink are all within walking distance.
Our room was large, clean and comfortable. It had an added feature of an outdoor balcony where you could watch activity on the riverfront.

Wonderful

We had a great stay, hotel staff was really really nice. Wish they would of had something different for breakfast, they had biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs and waffles every single day, kinda got tired of that. Afternoon snack was the same also. The pool was a little small. Other than that everything else was good, had lots if FUN and it's right by river walk.
