On the River walkPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Being on the River walk
Cons: Extend the evening snack from 5:30pm to 7:00. That's dinner time. We were gone to dinner couldn't have made it back. Maybe till 9pm.
Location: Great. Many things to do.
Wonderful time there at Drury Inn and Suites on the River Walk.

Super staff but comfort in need of improvement.Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: The rooms were cold, perfect for the summer heat, pool area was extremely clean with plenty of towels. Food during "kickback" was very satisfying.
Cons: Need more elevators, waiting only frustrates people.
Location: Excellent location, we walked to the Alamo and could have walked to the Market Square but it was getting dark.
Checking in was great and really easy and the staff was really nice. Then the inconvenience starts. There are only 2 elevators for the WHOLE hotel including staff. The elevators are small so the wait is long. I booked a room to accommodate 2 adults and 4 children, when we arrived to the room I did not expect that sleeping accommodations would include the paper thin pull out sofa mattress. The room had a balcony but the view was clay painted and stone (the side of the neighboring hotel)and seemed to be within distance of arms reach. There was a single cup coffee maker in the room with 1 Styrofoam cup. The bathroom had 2 large bath towels, this is a room for 6 supposedly. The convenience to the Riverwalk was awesome just had to wait for an available elevator to take you to the lower level or take 6 flights of stairs, not with 4 kids. Parking was terrible, a tight fit for a Honda Pilot so anything larger would take 2 spaces or park in the "waiting zone". Breakfast hours are 6 to 9 a bit early to close.

Excellent!!!Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Everything...the hot food, the breakfast, just all the extras
This is the best hotel we've ever stayed at!!! My wife and kids really enjoyed it. Everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved all the extras...that didn't cost extra!! The hot food, the amazing breakfast, the popcorn and soda machine and for my wife and I, the free drinks/cocktails. The room was very big and clean and we had a decent view of the Riverwalk.

Very nice hotel; downtown walking distancePosted Jul 13, 2015
I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is within walking distance to many downtown attractions. It didn't even take long to drive to Six Flags from the hotel. First time; Lasting impression (all smiles).

SafetyPosted Jul 6, 2015
The garage is very tight, but I never had a problem finding a place to park.. the street where the hotel is, St. Mary's has a few homeless and drugged people. So the coming and going should always be by the Riverwalk. Good staff. I would recommend.

Great hotel right on the river walk.Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: The location is the best thing about the hotel. The snack and free drinks are a close second.
Cons: A bigger refrigerator would be good but probably hard to fit in the room.
Location: The kids loved the boat ride on the river walk. The mirror maze, ripleys wax museum, alamo, and tower of americas are the top favorites for us.
The hotel was easy to get too. Parking is right under the hotel. Spaces are a little close together but it easily accessible. The spare bed was already in the room ready for us when we got to the hotel. Wonderful view of the river walk from our room. The breakfast was good and the evening snacks were wonderful. One night we did not even have to go out for dinner because we filled up on salad and chicken fingers. The kids loved the mac and cheese. My husband and I loved the three free drinks per person. Everything about the room was great. The pool was a little small but the kids made friends. Loved it and can't wait to stay at another Drury.
