Great hotelPosted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Great architecture
Cons: When you stay multiple nights staff needs to vacuum floors
Location: Hotel is in a great location close to most things to do. Easy to get in and out of parking. Valet staff was great.
Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful. There were no newspapers at hotel, you had to leave hotel to get a newspaper.. The breakfast was very good and a good variety of breakfast items to choose from. The cocktail time is a ideal to to meet different people. The biggest issue I had was we cut our stay short by one day and did not get a refund

Perfect location right next to the Riverwalk!Posted Sep 23, 2014
Our hotel was in the center of the attention. Everything was at a walking distance and so much to do around us. The Riverwalk was just down stairs and there was absolutely no complain about anything having to do with our hotel. They even let us check in 45 minutes earlier. Thanks Drury Hotel!

BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE PARKING CHARGES!!!Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: I liked the initial price you pay for the room.
Cons: I don't like someone else parking my vehicle. I certainly don't want to pay an outrageous price for parking! This could deter me from staying later.
Location: I like the location and access to downtown.
I was over-charged on my card for the parking and the agreed amount for the additional room. After returning home I contacted the hotel and was then later reimbursed.

Pros: The location, the staff and the amenities. The rooms are clean and cool. The beds are comfortable!
Cons: I didn't care for the valet parking charge but I guess you can't help but pay it so you don't have to walk to your car.
Location: Everything is close by.
Was for the most part pleasant. The elevator wait time is a little much. I don't know how to remedy that with as many rooms as this hotel has. I like the location and the beds were very comfortable.

Excellent family stayPosted Sep 15, 2014
We had such a wonderful weekend here. It was so centrally located that we were able to walk to our destinations, even with our toddler. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and just so very enjoyable. The pools were clean and not crowded. We loved the option to have breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

Great Historic hotel on the RiverwalkPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The room was huge and laid out well. The historic nature of the hotel was quite nice. The location (on the riverwalk) was awesome!
Cons: The only issue we had was with the elevators. There were six elevators, but they could have used 10. The first night we stayed they were inoperative.
Location: Location was great! On the Riverwalk with lots of restaurants in walking distance. The riverwalk access was locked (use room key) so felt very secure!
Our family stayed at this hotel because of the proximity to the River walk as well as Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The free breakfast was awesome and plentiful. Lots of varieties of food to choose from. From Eggs to pancakes, pastries to yogurt, biscuits and gravy (gravy was a hit with our family). Then the 5:30 kickback was awesome. Another buffet to enjoy the afternoon from 5:30-7:00...all you can eat and three drinks per adult. Valet parking with unlimited in and outs was great! It looks like it would get busy, but they have a great system and got us in and out quickly.

Historic Alamo Bank BuildingPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: We liked the history surrounding this hotel and our room was very nice and clean.
Cons: This hotel is pet friendly, however, there is not a place close by without walking for blocks to take your pet to do their business.
Location: The location was excellent - easy access to the Riverwalk. There was plenty to do on the Riverwalk. Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars.
The hotel was filled with a lot of history. Built around 1928 as the Alamo National Bank. There were still a lot of artifacts from when it was a bank. The hotel had a lot of character and was immaculate - very beautiful. The rooms were very nice. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the 5:30 - 7:00 complimentary cocktails were nice.
