“Was totally impressed.”
Great hotel and so accessible to everything. We never had to leave the parking.
“Rooms are very small is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion”
I was very dissapointed in this hotel becuase I book my hotel stays by the star rating and this hotel would have only been a two in my opinion. The rooms were very small and not many amenities in the room. The coffee maker did not work and it would be nice to have a refrigerator in the room as well as a safe which this room did not have either.
“Cant wait to go back.”
Thes room was great our view from the 9th floor was awesome.
“will go back”
Went to San Antonio for a week end getaway. The holtel was clean and had a great location. It is located only a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk and next to the Alamo. The price was very reasonable for the hotel and location. Will book the hotel next time I go to San Antonio.
“Exceptional, BUT....”
We loved the room layout, and the breathtaking view of the downtown San Antonio skyline was beautifully framed by the almost wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows. Lavish wall-to-wall drapes could be closed for privacy. BUT the spa bathtub/shower combo left a lot to be desired. It was old, large, and the jets were inset in such a way that it would be impossible to clean them satisfactorily. In fact, there were stains all around the jets and obvious cracks in the tub had been crudely repaired. (My wife refused to use the tub/shower and resorted to a "sponge bath".) I would have insisted on swithching rooms, but we checked in very late after the fabulous UIL State High School Marching Band Competition. (I recommend the competition--held annually-- the first Monday/Tuesday of November at the Alamo Dome. Just remember next year, to VOTE EARLY so you can attend! By the way, we will stay at Emily Morgan again, but we will inspect the bathroom FIRST, before settling for the room.
“Next door to the Alamo-- can't get lost”
Great location--All signs point to the Alamo, so you can never get lost. It's also next door to the friendliest tourist bureau I've ever been to. I was amazed how nice the hotel was.
“Not impressed”
This seemed to be a great hotel when we checked in but we were not happy with our stay. Had to ask for coffee as they did not leave any when cleaning the room. Also it was very noisy. We were there for band competition and i know there was a band staying there but they should not have put other patrons on the same floor. There was slamming of doors, screaming just alot of noise.
“Wonderful personal service hotel”
The location of this hotel was perfect, close to everything. The service was fantastic. The room was huge and wonderful. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant that is far above most. Both food and drink were great and the staff was excellent with being helpful and polite. I would stay here again and wish whenever I had to stay at a hotel it would be this great. I do not see anything that they could or would need to improve upon.
“"Perfect location"”
Couldn't be any closer to the Alamo...walking distance to the River Walk & great restaurants! Stayed here 15 years ago...but must get back more often & stay again at the Emily Morgan!
“A special historic hotel”
Worth trying
