Pros: The overall staff service was excellent and I will probably stay again in the near future.
Cons: communication to guest
The overall stay of 3 days was good, I just wish they had alerted us about the hot water problem. I got in at 1AM and then in the morning was faced with cold water...........ugghhhhh !!! Jim Vines

Nice hotel in close proximity to river walk, but way over priced. $200 for a normal king bed room, plus $29 parking! There were many cheaper hotels close by and I will try them next time.

Great Hotel on the Riverwalk very close to Alamo

We love the Grand Hyatt San Antonio; the staff is awesome and the proximity to fun and shopping is an added bonus. An incident happened with somebody throwing rocks from above the 20th floor into the pool on the 5th floor roof, nearly hitting one of our kids and caused a scare. The security team was on it and didn't hesitate to call the police as the largest rock was larger than an adult fist and could have caused severe trauma if it had hit anyone. We appreciated them taking it so seriously. One of the security team sent huge plate of chocolate chip cookies and milk to our room to cheer up our daughters who were upset by the incident. They loved it and both felt safe enough to try the pool again the next morning. They are both excited to retun in February for their birthday. This was our 4th stay at this hotel in the last five years, we liked the Marriott but there is just something special about the Grand Hyatt; whether it's the staff, the area or just the great beds ... We're rather hooked on it now.

We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is within walking distance of the Riverwalk and has a great steakhouse and very nice bar. The fitness center had plenty of cardio and weight equipment to use.
