This hotel was great and had a wonderful location. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing quick access to the River Walk and Convention Center. Although there is some construction next to the hotel from my room i could not hear any loud noises.

Great location on the River walk

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Bidet, fans in bathroom and sleeping area. Better insulation.
Location: On the River walk, what more can I say?
The hotel is nice, is in a great location, and has great meeting spaces. The rooms are average. No special features. The hall noises were easily heard from the rooms. Why don't hotels install ceiling fans? For that matter, bathroom fans? A bidet in the bathroom would be a welcome addition as well. Anyway, the customer service was great. They made sure we had all of the extras that we requested (with the exception of a bidet and fans). The 24 hr coffee shop was a plus. The chaise lounge was a great addition to the room. I'd stay there again, but I would bring a fan instead of playing fan noises with my iPad all night.

hotel stay

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: staff and space at conference
Cons: parking, wifi, making sure rooms are cleaned daily and no items left over from previous renters
Location: a lot of dining and shopping were in walking distance
I guess most hotels are going for pay for parking. This is the first time I experienced this. I think that parking should be included in your stay and if you are visiting the hotel for a conference or something like that and not actually staying at the hotel, you should be required to pay. I never saw a microwave or refrigerator in the room. Also $10/day for wifi??? Bring your own. I found some belongings from the previous renters in the room so I am wondering about if it was really cleaned. Other than those issues the beds were comfortable, towels clean (they gave us clean towels but did not remove the dirty). There were plenty of room at the conference. The staff was wonderful!

Nice hotel at Riverwalk

Posted Sep 5, 2014
This was my second visit to San Antonio and I found that Grand Hyatt is much nicer than the Marriott Hotel. The room design looks modern and quite roomy. The location is very convenient where you can find Starbucks at the lobby and directly connected to Ruth’s Chris Steak House, at the side of the Riverwalk. The staffs are very friendly tool. I'm planning to visit San Antonio again in Dec/Jan and I'm pretty sure I will stay in this hotel again.

What's not to like. On the Riverwalk, a 5minute walk from the action. Away from the crowds.

Great Locataion with convenient self parking

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Great location. Self parking is easy and convenient.
Cons: Free Internet would be a big plus. Could perhaps add more selection to the store.
Location: San Antonio has many great attractions. Alamo, Tower of the Americas, River Walk and a short drive to Six Flags, Sea world and the Hill country.
Located in a great place on the river walk in downtown San Antonio, a short walk to Tower of the Americas and not too far a walk to the Alamo and river walk restaurants. Is great not having to drive everywhere. Another big plus for me and my family is being able to self park (hate valet parking!) without having to walk miles. Ate at the steak house (Ruth Chris) downstairs with the family, is expensive with no childrens meals - there are so many good reasonably priced restaurants along the riverwalk this should not put anyone off. Rooms are nice and reasonable size fairly typical hotel room.

Nice hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Hotel staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating when we requested 2 adjoining rooms and had 2 small dogs. The clock radio was really dusty, which turned me off a little, but other than that, the room seemed clean. $27 a day for parking was also unexpected. It was a very short walk to the river walk.
