“San Antonio not good experience!”

First you could not open the bathroom door with out crawling around it into the tub or over the stool! The second night we were there a LARGE cockroach was crawling up the wall! Poor lighting in the bathroom. When you pay that much a night you expect a little better and alot of the staff did not have a clue about bus stops! The last night there finally was told there was a bus stop one block from hotel intstead of about six blocks and counting., WOULD NOT RECOMEND!

Area recommendations

On the river walk we have stayed there many times and never had a problem., love San Antonio but this was not a good exerience and with all the other things going on there was times you could not get where you were giong because of the spot we stayed at!

“Very good choice in San Antonio!”

All the hotel staff was very friendly and kind with us, the breakfas was good, with waffles, cinnamon rolls, yogurth, eggs, sausage, and a delicious coffee during the day and night... the hotel location is very well, because we have The Alamo and Riverwalk just a few blocks, you have free parking also!! certainly we'll be back soon!!

“impressed”

“Not impressed”

The hotel did not have enough towels, so sometimes you had to get gym towels to use in your room. The lock of the room did not work properly, so each night, when I came back to the hotel I had to go back down to ask the recepcionist to reactivate my key (I was there for 9 nights!). One day the room was not made up, when I came back. I had stayed at other Holiday Inn before and was disappointed... The location though is very convenient.

“Good location, bathroom needed work”

Good location, within 15 minute walk to River Walk. Big suite, good amenities in the suite. Only problem was that bathtub caulk was moldy, with some mold on the ceiling. Also, tub dripped all night...room 310.

“not impressed”

not impressed with hotel, though staff is very nice. Its the condition, appearance, and comfort of the hotel itself. Beds to not even have comforter. Weird, just a sheet.

“Great Stay!”

We enjoyed our stay. This is the hotel we use when we come to San Antonio. The rooms are nice and roomy. We like the living area in each suite. They are nicely appointed and clean. The breakfast in the morning was well done with eggs sausage biscuits milk,juice and coffee.The cinamon rolls are very good!! Good service and not far from the downtown riverwalk area.

Area recommendations

When you go to San Antonio you must see the Alamo and the Riverwalk and enjoy some fine Mexican food.

When to go

We went after Chistmas and the lights were still up on the Riverwalk and it was beautiful. We went to Sea World and had a great time. The park is really nice and all of the shows are first class.

“UNSATISFACTORY”

I WAS VERY SHOCKED!!!! THE TRASH OUTSIDE WHILE COMING IN TO THE HOTEL EAS OVER FLOWING....WHEN WALKING TO THE ROOM IT HAD A SMELLY ODOR!!!! THE CARPET NEEDED TO BE VACUMED AND IT JUST LOOKED NASTY!!!! THE ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS BUT THE ROOM SMELLED LIKE MILDEW DUE TO THE AIRCONDITIONING LEAKING ON THE FLOOR!!!! ALTHOUGH THE MANAGER SAID HE WAS GUNNA GIVE US A DISCOUNT I STILL HAVENT SEEN IT!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

“Disappointed with location”

Pool was closed for about a day and a half of our 5 day stay, and we were told we could walk down to a neighboring hotel about 4 blocks away to swim. Not located is a very nice area, wouldn't do any walking, especially at night. NOT within walking distance to the Riverwalk. Hotel room was nicely decorated and roomy. Computer in the lobby was out of order for our entire stay.

“Could have been better....”

Hotel was extremely hot the entire stay. Our air conditioners never really worked in our room so our nights were miserable. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms the first 2 days there then left us to fend for ourselves the last 3 days....front desk help was not very helpful in trying to fix any of our issues. Not really worth our time or money.
