DisappointingPosted Jan 5, 2015
Location: Restaurants, riverwalk
The only thing good about this hotel is the location. It is on the Riverwalk close to restaurants and shops. But the bathroom had numerous pubic hairs, the beds were like sleeping on concrete, and there was no one to carry bags and no carts. The hotel must be 50+ years old and parking an SUV is a problem.

Holiday Inn RiverwalkPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The location was good and the staff was excellent.
Cons: The bed pillows were terrible. It was difficult to get a good nights sleep. We requested firm pillows and got two additional terrible pillows.
Location: This is on the old, undeveloped portion of the Riverwalk. We had a balcony view and it was great. We did not have to listen to the late night crowd.
We wanted a place where we could see the river portion of the Riverwalk. This hotel is on the old, undeveloped part of the Riverwalk. It still had a good view, and likely more relaxing than overlooking the bar district. The rate was as expected. There were no problems with the Expedia reservation/rates. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff was very accommodating. Overall it was a great experience.

Marvelously situated next to Majestic TheaterPosted Dec 30, 2014
Took my two boys to see The Lion King and the hotel was in walking distance to the theater. Awesome! I even treated myself to Starbucks which was just around the corner.

Nice hotel close to Riverwalk and AlamoPosted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Clean, neat, affordable, staff, easy access to everything.
Cons: The beds are a little stiff, but the sheets and pillows are great!
Location: On the Riverwalk and walking distance to everything! Only a few blocks from the Alamo as well!
This hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway! Walked everywhere along the Riverwalk and the Alamo is only a few blocks away! Everything was wonderful!

Nice Hotel , but do not eat therePosted Dec 18, 2014
Cons: Restaurant service
Hotel is newly remodeled, looks good and clean. But problem with service in restaurant. We were seated and got coffee. Then waited finally asking where was a waitress. Told things got busy. We saw only one table of six seated before us. We got our orders in then waited almost half hour for our food. Got it when we started asking questions. Another woman next to us that waited about the same half hour and never got waited. She asked where the next closest restaurant was located.

GREAT LOCATION! but less wow on other partsPosted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: The location is perfect. On the riverwalk, close to restaurants/bars, but also just around the bend from all that noise.
Cons: In-House noise, and comfort of beds & linens! AWFUL
Location: The riverwalk, dwntwn San Antonio, the Alamo,Tower of the Americas, Buckhorn Museum & Saloon, San Fernando Cathedral & more - all in walking distance.
The up-sides: This hotel was directly on the Riverwalk, and is one of very few with balconies to enjoy the Riverwalk from the comfort of your room. It was around the corner from the main drag of Riverwalk bars, restaurants, & hotels... So, it was close enough to the action, without having that noise right outside your door/window. It was also one of few that had an outdoor pool too (though it was smaller than I thought it would be). The rooms were very clean, and were nicely decorated with modern furniture & updates. The down-sides: The inner-hotel noise was extraordinary.... we could hear everything going on on our floor & the floors above & below, conversations in the hall & in all the rooms adjoining. Seemed like a sort of staff meeting was going on at 2am when we heard shouting/loud group chanting in the hall every night at that hour. We could also hear all the noise from the pool deck several floors above us. The beds were hard as rocks, and the towels were so unsoftened that I felt like paper towels may have felt dreamy in comparison. Also...the elevator maze was just annoying - 6 elevators for 23 floors: 1 goes only to the garage (meaning if you use the elevator instead of the stairs, you always had to go to the lobby and catch another elevator to your room), and only 1 went down to the riverwalk and it did not stop on our floor + a few others. Bottom line, I recommend this hotel for its location, and my advice is to use a coupon to get the best price possible.

Disappointed !Posted Nov 24, 2014
We didn't get the room we reserved which had a river view instead the one they gave us was right next to the gym without a view, sounded like someone was working on the walls! The staff was overworked and not helpful at all. Very disappointed as the hotel is In a great spot Won't go here again
