“Hotel ok for the money”

Good sized rooms. Beds ok for comfort. Sofa sleepers are terrible and unusable(shouln't be advertised). Hot tub didn't work, but water was warm. Very nice pool. Staff very nice and friendly.

“Just so so”

Most of the staff was really friendly and helpful with directions to places in town. However, when the room was cleaned, they took our dirty towels and didn't give us clean ones for two days! Also, if you have any type of back or sleeping problem, I wouldn't recommend this place; the beds were really uncomfortable which made it difficult to sleep. Just okay if you are looking for somewhere cheap but I'd spend the extra couple bucks for another place.

“Definitely So-So”

We actually had two rooms at this hotel. The first room was fine, what we expected and had decent furniture. The second room was really musty and damp, had missing furniture and had burn marks in the carpet and the bed spread! I would definately recommend seeing the room prior to accepting the key. Both of the rooms had been recently painted, had comfortable beds and clean linens but neither fridge kept anything cool except soda. Overall, it was not bad for the money but dont expect a luxury stay. The staff were really polite although we had to ask for towels each day we were there. The breakfast had a nice variety. including bagels, yogurt and cereal and there is 24 hour coffee in the lobby. The pool area is really nice (3ft to 6ft deep), but the jacuzzi is actually like a kiddy pool with jets- and it is the same temp as the big pool.

“If you're just looking for a place to stay”

We stayed at the Baymont for one day. The receptionist was really nice and informative. If you're only looking for a place to stay, this hotel is very comfortable. For the price paid, it was not bad.

“Decent for price but has drawbacks”

Most of my complaints are situational. Construction in San Antonio made the hotel impossible to get to, although not the hotel's fault. However, on Expedia this hotel is listed as Howard Johnson. When we went it was still under the Baymont name (has been bought out by HJ). So, after all the fuss of the construction, we repeatedly drove past the hotel since it didn't have a Howard Johnson sign. The hotel was typical inside but nothing special. Rooms open to an outdoor courtyard. I could have done better.

“Apartment Complex Like”

Looks like a small apartment complex that was turned to a small hotel. For the low price, you get what you paid for. Breakfast was very basic continental. However, good for a large family with 3+ kids at a budget low price, but not my future choice.

“Needs Help”

OK the only good thing about the hotel is that it's close to a Walmart and Target. Was very disappointed when we called to get directions to the hotel because the ones off line were wrong the lady kept saying make two u-turns and you'll see us, so wrong she should have said make one u-turn down half mile down the street and make another u-turn. But we should have known something was wrong when we walked to the room and the hallway smelled and the trash can by the ice machine was running over. And the fridge in the room didn't keep anything cold because of the big ice chunk in the freezer compartment that kept it from closing right. Could go on and on, but please stay somewhere else.

“Hotel”

This hotel is okay for an inexpensive room. The staff was nice, but it is not easy to get to the hotel, and my room lacked a little bit. I'll probably stay someplace else next time.
