Lovely hotel

Posted Dec 8, 2014
This hotel was lovely. If you like privacy this is a great place to stay. I got a free upgrade to a balcony suite since there was no one in the hotel when I arrived. The room was clean. However the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Although the pool and Jacuzzi was very fun. I will be returning for New Year's eve as this is such a great hotel to stay in.

Excellent pre-Thanksgiving Visit

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff, the beauty of the resort and fall colors, the golf course, heated pool and hot tub, choice of restaurants, etc.
Cons: Not much. It was all good to me, especially if you want to do something that's within a reasonable drive from Houston..a change of pace and scenery.
Location: Sea World is right across the street, but far enough away that you can not hear one thing. It's very peaceful and quiet.
We arrived Sunday, November 23rd, and departed Monday, November 24th. We have stayed many times at this resort, and it did not disappoint. We had the whole place to ourselves this time, probably because most people were checking out from the weekend when we arrived. The weather could not have been nicer, and the grounds were lovely. All the fall colors were out in full force. We noticed they have added a wave rider and slide near the lazy river, and plan to take our nephew this summer to check that out. My husband played golf, and it was gorgeous....we even saw three deer. I puttered around in the heated adult pool and on the last day we played horseshoes, relaxed in the hammocks, and rented bikes (free of charge/part of the resort fee) and biked around the property a couple of times. They have a nice fitness room but we didn't have time to do it all. We ate at the Springhouse Café on Sunday night...delicious hamburgers and tortilla soup, and discovered a nice surprise Sunday morning...the General Store. We had never checked it out before, in all the years we have been staying there. They will cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner, at a very reasonable price. We ordered breakfast tacos for about $3.75 a piece and they have many other options as well. While we were there those two days we literally felt the stress fading away....it's a very peaceful place this time of year. We will make this an annual pre-Thanksgiving tradition.

Great resort

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel and grounds are clean and beautiful.
Cons: More restaurant choices on site.
Location: Remote location, had to drive at least 10 minutes to get to anything
We had a great stay, however the pool slide and simulated surfing was closed for 2 weeks, as well we arrived on a early November Sunday with our son and there was only one restaurant open for dinner for our 3 night stay. We choose a resort versus a hotel in San Antonio so that we could park the car and relax for a few days and have a variety of dining options. Unfortunately our timing was off.

Wonderful Weekend!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Beautiful scenery. The most fabulous oak trees.
We have stayed at the "other" resorts in San Antonio in the past. We decided to come back to stay at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort for another wonderful weekend. Once again, the staff, accommodations and restaurants were all excellent. I believe the beds are the most comfortable out of all the resorts we have visited. Juan in the restaurant (not Antlers) on the first floor provided us with excellent food and service. He made our dining experience very special. David and Mia were both sweet as they promoted the new addition to the Hyatt facility. We played golf on Sunday. Thanks to the beautiful grounds and the wonderful staff we had a fantastic time. My daughter and son-in-law will be staying at the Hyatt RHC Resort the following weekend, based on our great stay. Thank you to everyone that opened the door, asked if we needed anything, to the sweet lady that cleaned our room. We will be back!

Una Buena opción para la familia

Posted Oct 24, 2014
