muy centrico

Posted Feb 24, 2015

Location: In close to proximity to all attractions , San antonio has alot to offer that I didn't expect . We walked eveerywhere .
First time in San Antonio enjoy the sub culture of the riverwalk , very unique and our hotel was all part of that culture . Close to the Alamo , staff very helpful and courteous .

Great hotel in a fab location!

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Great design, lots of atmosphere, good staff on the whole.
Cons: Had cocktails on two different nights, the second night they were half the size, but the same price, very naughty.
Location: Take the time to walk further out along the river, peaceful and beautiful homes.
Really good hotel, lovely rooms, good food and bar. Only downside is the noise,it is a noisy hotel and despite changing rooms this was still an issue. The price you pay for such a big hotel, in such a central location.

Perfect Location...Unless You are in the Bathroom!

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Location and views!
Cons: A large number of concurrent check-ins is tough for any hotel, but it seemed that the staff was not equipped to handle the flow.
Location: Back door is right on the Riverwalk, and the Alamo is right across the street.
When we were met with several hundred high school bad members in the lobby for a TEMA convention, I was afraid that our vacation would be hampered. Although it took us over an hour to get into our room because of the check-in line and the line to get into an elevator, other than an occasional additional elevator wait, we would have never known the hotel was full. The valet and bell staff were awesome and extremely helpful. The room was clean, nicely sized, and well appointed, except for the bathroom. The foyer in our particular room was very over-sized and I'm not sure why that room wasn't put into the bathroom. Beds were clean and comfortable. The view from our top-floor, Alamo-facing room was AWESOME!! The location on the Riverwalk is right in the thick of restaurants and pubs. We were only a 30-minute walk to the Tower of the Americas, which I would recommend as a great activity. Walking anywhere on the Riverwalk is fantastic, especially in winter months when it is not wall-to-wall people. I was a little disappointed that there is no hotel seating area along the Riverwalk, which would have been a nice place to relax and people watch. NOTE: Be sure to call ahead to find out what the convention attendance is the hotel! before you book. Also, Expedia-purchased rooms are not available for the online kiosk check-in, which would otherwise eliminate the check-in wait time.

River Walk

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Location: River Walk, Alamo
It was great that the hotel was right on the river walk area of San Antonio. Only problem we encountered was that the hotel had overbooked with a Prom (middle of February?????), a state wide high school band contest, San Antonio Rodeo, and Valentine's Day. When we checked in they were extremely nice outside of how busy they were and allowed us to upgrade to a Suite ($300 more a night) for $20 more. Once we checked in, the room was amazing, but the hotel restaurant was so busy we could not get a table or service.

Great location

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Very happy with location, lobby it's amenities and Riverwalk views impressive. Our bar waitress was less than useless and it's a noisy hotel purely due to it's layout, but wouldn't really rate rooms as 4 star quality. I'd stay again but my husband would be reluctant!
