“The service was great!”

Our experience at this hotel was quite nice. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable. I would only suggest that they have more rooms with king size beds as that is what I requested but didn't get. Also, internet service in the rooms would be nice.

“Excellent for a Shopping Trip”

My family and I went planned the trip just for shopping. Obviously San Marcos was a must. This hotel was great, it's just in the middle so we had the option of small shopping in the area and just drive 20 min to San Marcos. Hotel Staff was very polite and helpful. And the room was very confortable as well as the cleanliness.

“Great Location!”

The La Quinta Inn San Antonio at IH35 North at Toepperwein is a great hotel for several reasons. The location in NE San Antonio makes it a quick trip to downtown or the airport. If you are headed north on IH 35 (toward Austin) this is a great place to get an early start and avoid the morning traffic in downtown San Antonio and Austin. The continental breakfast is a hearty breakfast with cereal, waffles, fruit, rolls, and more. The hotel staff is attentive and works to accommodate special needs. The only downside is getting to the hotel if you are driving south on IH 35 (toward San Antonio). The highway department sign give one, and only one notice, that the exit is coming up when you are driving through Selma, TX. Several roads (Loop 1604, Pat Booker) also exit at the same exit. Just stay on the frontage road and go about TWO miles when all of sudden Toepperwein Rd appears. That is the only very small negative to an otherwise outstanding hotel for service, location, and food.
