Convienient to the Air Force Base.Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Convenience to air force base
Our room was on the second floor and the stairways and rails were nasty. We walked into our room and it smelled like cat urine. We went to Walmart to get two containers of Febreeze just so I could stay there. We were there for our grandsons graduation from the air force basic training. It is very convenient to the base. The beds were not to comfy but served the purpose. You could see through the door and the casing outside. I didn't feel safe. I will not stay again.

The worst la Quinta I have ever stayed in! Paint chipping in the bathtub. Dior kick wasn't very secure. Poor lighting in parking lot. Drunk people in pool area with open container. NO VISIBLE STAFF!

Close to Lackland Air Force BasePosted Jul 25, 2015
Close to Lackland Air Force Base but very outdated and run down. Asked for a clean conforter as the one on the bed had a large red stain and an extra pillow the first night of stay. Was told by the front desk if they could find a spare pillow they would bring it. As for the comforter just leave a note in the morning for the maid to replace it. Neither request was fulfill. No onsite restaurant and very little to select from the reference guide they provided that were close distance from hotel and were still in business after driving to them.

Easy access, close to base, breakfast pretty good considering it's free...room was old but just fine. Pool looked good.

DisappointingPosted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: Close to the Air Force Base. Could not be any closer unless you were to stay at the hotel on the base itself.(There is one there, worth checking out!)
The reason we booked this hotel was because we were visiting our son for his Air Force graduation weekend, and this place could not be any closer to the base without being on the base itself. However, if I had it to do over again, I would find a Best Western and have a longer drive to the base. Other than the front of the lobby, the place looks terrible. Chipped paint, dirt everywhere and gunk built up in the corners. Getting our door open seemed to always be a challenge, whether it was because the key card wouldn't work (we were locked out twice), or because the door was such a tight fit in the doorjam that it took some force to get it opened and closed. There was dust on every surface of the room, and so much on the top edge of the headboard that I had to clean it before leaning up against it to read in bed. Did not want it in my hair. The bathroom is its own story. The layout of it is good, but there is no vent in the shower/toilet area, so it becomes like a sauna. Perhaps it is because of this that there was so much mildew in there. It was in the grout and on the shower curtain. I feel I should also mention the black hairs I found stuck on various surfaces throughout our 5 night stay. Seemed like there was a new one every day. (Nobody in my family has black hair.) The room had a coffee maker, but housekeeping didn't leave any coffee one morning, and the next day we had the coffee but no tray to put it in to brew it. If you value cleanliness do not stay here. Run away!!

Pros: The room was nice
Cons: Room service - when the room is cleaned
Location: San Antonio - Close to Sea World, Six Flags - Fiesta Texas, Alamo, Central San Antonio
We had a very good experience, although, we stayed for two nights and did not get our room cleaned or a change of towels. The front office staff was very nice.

Close to the base and a short drive to the CityPosted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: It met our needs for the 6 days we were there. Clean and adequate
Cons: Cosmetics could use a touch up- paint, bathroom updates (no fans??).
Staff was most pleasant and helpful. The morning breakfasts were very busy, but we expected that.

Nice and close to AF base, but not worth itPosted Jun 16, 2015
I will admit that the location of this hotel was very nice since we were visiting our son in the base for his graduation. However, our room was very small, the smallest I've ever stayed in. The toilet and shower were in a tiny room, where you could barely shut the door. One light (outlet) didn't work, which only left one light for the room. One day the maids came and changed the towels but didn't bother to make the bed. It was a very old room. We couldn't find extra rolls of toilet paper, so we had to call for more. It's also not in the greatest area and I was glad that they had security waking around at night because there were a lot of young men just hanging around the ruins which made me nervous. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The coffee was not good, and they didn't even have any danishes or donuts. I'm sorry to say that I wish we would have stayed further from base at a nice hotel.
