Disappointed...Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: The staff were great, very helpful.
Cons: Needs updating reminds me of an old MOTEL.
Location: Location to the base is good but the neighborhood is horrible!
This is the worst LaQuinta I have ever stayed in. Location to AFB good, but the neighborhood not so much. I did not realize the hotel rooms have exterior doors. The inner lock on our door was broken. Needs to be updated, not worth the price. The staff were great.

We were very happy customersPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: The quiet rooms no road noise and didn't hear guests above us or next door. Good beds and helpful staff.
Cons: Better internet really slowed down in the evenings. A little more varity at breakfast.
Location: The location was perfect for us since it was close to Lackland AFB and we were there for our sons graduation. We spent most of the time at the base.
The staff at the La Quinta Lackland deserve 5 stars. They gave us the name of an excellant shuttle driver. Kevin and Mary were able to answer questions we had about getting around Lackland AFB. They provided me with a variety of take out menus. The ones we tried were very good and reasonably priced. Everyone who was there for the BMT graduation appreciated that they had breakfast out early for us. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable. As close as the hotel was to the highway I was surprised there wasn't any road noise. Like my title says we were very happy customers.

Close to Lackland AFBPosted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Lackland AFB and other tourist attractions in San Antonio.
Cons: Room cleanliness could be improved a notch.
Location: Close to Downtown San Antonio, River Walk, The Alamo, Sea World, plenty of places to eat. Within minutes from the airport.
We chose this location for its proximity to Lackland AFB which put us within less than 1 minute from the entrance gate. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. They were extremely knowledgeable about graduation activities and were more than happy to provide information and a wake-up call if needed. The breakfast area is somewhat small but it seemed to be able to handle all the guests. You don't have to sit there to eait if you don't desire. According to the La Quinta website, the room we reserved would be able to accomodate 5 persons. I highly doubt it since there were only two beds, and a small desk. It's not a luxury hotel, but who needs one when you are going to be out the door by 0600 and be back ready to get some shut eye. Overall, we were satisfied with the stay and would consider staying at La Quinta again in the future.

Close to Lackland AFB, and the highwayPosted Dec 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location was convenient to the Air Force Base, but highway noise was present inside the room. Had to change rooms before the first night due to a heater problem. The second room's entrance door did not seal correctly, allowing outside noise to filter in.

Pros: the closeness to the Air Force Base and having the breakfast ready before we had to be on base.
Cons: bigger showers.
Location: we visited river walk, sea world, but the one thing we enjoyed the most was eating at the Lone Horn steak house.
