Economical hotel for the Riverwalk Area

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: Location for the price and the great staff and no parking fees.
Cons: The breakfast...especially, the coffee. The damp/smell of Room 105.
Location: Mi Tierra Cafe & Bakery was across the street and the Market Square with its great shops. There is also a playground close.
The hotel is in a very good location, close to Market Square and downtown AND an amazing Mexican restaurant across the street. The hotel staff were very good and helpful. Points are taken off for the damp smelling room (room on ground floor) and the 'meh' continental breakfast...probably the worst coffee ever. Just go across the street and have a great breakfast at the 24 hour Mexican restaurant.

DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Burn it to the ground.
Worst stay I ever had. Forget about getting any sleep. You can hear toilets flushing ALL NIGHT. It sounded like somebody turning on a fire engine hose in a phone booth. This place is HORRIBLE and not worth the price. Don't be fooled. Stay at the Gunter Hotel.

Great location, cleanliness, and service:

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, friendliness
Cons: The room had a bit of a weird smell, but the housekeepers left a bottle of air freshener for us to use periodically. That did help some.
Location: This hotel is directly across the street from Market Square, Mi Tierra café and bakery, and is only 1/2 mile from Riverwalk and 1 mile from Alamo.
This hotel is directly across the street from Market Square, a large market with imports from Hispanic countries. In the square is Mi Tierra Café and Bakery, which is open 24 hours, and is a recommended option for dining in San Antonio. The hotel was also very clean and breakfast was fine for a continental breakfast. Front desk staff members were very helpful and friendly.
