Had a fantastic Garden View, Staff were very friendly. Walking distance to the River walk and the Tower of the Americas.A return trip might be in our future.

Love this hotel!

My husband and I went as a back to school get away. Loved this hotel!! My first impression was of the staff... Every single person was friendly! Love the greenery and nature... Also, the breakfast was super nice! The pool area is very realizing!

When I first got to the hotel they gave me a Room in the first floor was not clean how supposted to be, it was no toilet paper. the room really had a funny smell and the room was for accessible ppl no tub didn't liked it at all but I request for another Room and it was much better..we did enjoy ourself after that..the staff very helpful at all the time, breakfast very good but expensive. The pool nice the peacock. This hotel is close to everything we didn't even used our truck bcause everything is close... I will recommend this hotel.. And a special thanks to Ernest always helpful..

Upset against Hotel Staff and Chlorine in Jacuzzi

Pros: This hotel was really nice and pleasant. Proximity from downtown by walk was perfect. The beautiful Peacock family and the beautiful garden
Cons: Professionnalism of Staff
Location: Just walk downtown it is gorgious by day and by night.
Unfortunately we got an issue with the Jacuzzi. It was 8PM when we took a bath in the lovely swimming pool and the Jacuzzi. Before we came, an employee in charge, should added chlorine or stuff like that, but the swimming pool was still open until 9 or 10PM for everyone.Nobody advised us about the chlorine. So few minutes later, when we were in, my son began to complain about prickles and my 2 daughters realized their bathing suit were discolored. I immediately addressed this with the reception and was advised that arrangements would be made to reimburse me for the costs of these 2 bathing suits (one is branding MORGAN, check price). I was comfortable with this option and we agreed that it would be settled at my check-out time on April 19th. At check-out time, I brought up my reimbursement with the reception, but it was not the same person at reception and they were unaware of this situation and there was no mention of this understanding in my client file. I was then told that they could not put through a reimbursement as the Person in Charge was absent. The reception took note of my email address and other necessaries details and I was told that I would be contacted by the Hotel. For 3 months no answer from them, and I wrote them several times. There are not professional at all. We travel a lot and I'm note sure if we.'ll go back to Marriott one day.

Nice Hotel close to the River Walk

Great price for location. Easy walk to River Walk. Fun birds and Peacocks about the premises. Parking lot ($25 which is par for the area) overcrowded on Saturday night. Wonderful refreshing "peacock punch" and ice water with strawberries floating in it provided in lobby. Nice pool area with bar for drinks.

Great hotel and staff not far from river walk.

We got into town early and asked to park our car in their lot and the friendly staff actually gave us our room so we got to park and wash up before stepping out. The hotel has a great setup with a nice pool and cool lounge areas.

Beautiful

The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. It felt more like a resort than a hotel. It was refreshing to walk around outside in the garden or soak in the hot tub and relax and enjoy the beauty. It didn't feel like we were in the middle of a big city, and the Riverwalk is just a short walk away. Everyone was very courteous and helpful.

Service should be better

Turns out I left my cell phone at the conference down the street. My husband called my hotel to tell them it had been found. No note was left at my room, no phone message on my phone, no contact from the front desk. I had higher expectations for this hotel but found that the rates were wrong and had to haggle to get them fixed and felt the front desk service needed a better tone. The men who work outside to hail taxis were incredibly nice though! They offered me water when I would come back from the conference, which was a nice treat. I also asked for a quiet room and was placed outside the main street in front of the hotel. The comfort of my room would have been much better if their analog tv service didn't go in and out and it didn't take 1 minute to change between channels. I would think a hotel like Marriott would have better amenities to their guests.

Pros: situation close to Riverwalk
Location: pretty good to go to River walks and the Alamo.
one night with parents come from France: Swimming pool size on the pictures are exaggerated compared to the real one.
