Pros: Great hotel. Everything is perfect!!!
Cons: Maybe lower the parking fee and free Wi-Fi.
Location: Location is in the heart of down town. Walking distance to Alamo, Mall, Restaurants its perfect.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Very nice staff, clean hotel, beautiful view of Down Town San Antonio and very close to River Walk and Mall. I just didn't like the parking fee.

Better Hotels on the Riverwalk for the same money!

Cons: Customer Service, Bathroom need updating. Robes in bathroom for price of hotel
Last year we stayed at the Westin on the River Walk at the same time of year and that was an a far superior hotel! The Marriot at the River Center was old and 'tired' from the lobby/entrance to the room. It is particularly noticeable in the bathrooms. The front desk service was poor checking in and checking out. When checking in, there was only one person on which was obviously insufficient for this size of hotel. When we checked out the lady was sullen and not customer friendly. We paid for breakfast as part of the package and I wish I had not. By the time we paid for the 2 people out of the four who were not covered on the package we had spent way more on breakfast than we would have for cereal and fruit! I also had to debate the charge as we were initially charged for a full buffet.

Location is about all they have going for them

Pros: Location on the river
Cons: Mini fridges in the room. Free wi-fi. Free breakfast. Free parking!
Location: On the Riverwalk , next door to the Rivercenter Mall
We were disappointed that for such an expensive hotel we didn't get Any extra amenities! There was no mini-fridge, no free wi-fi, no free parking, no free breakfast. The room was acceptable but we could hear " everything " that was going on next door. Not good! And I couldn't adjust the air conditioner at all. We will Definitly NOT be going back!

Dear Kim, I apologize your stay was not what you were expecting and hoping for. It’s never easy to hear that there will be no return visit because we believe we offer a great product to return to. Most full service hotels do not offer complimentary breakfast and, most, if not all downtown hotels, have a fee for parking. We do appreciate your honest feedback.

OK hotel

Pros: Downtown location and close to everything.
Cons: Yes, the rooms need to be updated a bit.
Location: The location is great walking distance to all the sites and good eating places.
The room was a bit overpriced for the level of overall expierance. We stayed there before and it was great last year, but it seems to have gone a bit downhill this time. I had requested for the room to be close to an elevator due to my heatlh and the request was completely ignored. The room was stuffy and had a bad smell. Over all it was clean and we did sleep ok.

Pros: Parking was good and good location to shopping and river walk.
Cons: Customer service!
Location: Shopping and River Walk.
We booked this room through Expedia and we were traveling with our daughter and her baby so we requested a room with two double beds. The hotel could not guarantee we get two double beds until check in so we were not sure what we were going to do if we only got a King! While there we asked for an extra blanket for the baby and we were told they did not have extra blankets!!! I have never been to a hotel that would not give you an extra blanket!

We always make note of guests needs and preferences and do our very best to accommodate those needs and preferences to the best of our ability. While the hotel does not have baby blankets, we do have plenty of blankets upon requests. Perhaps there was some confusion as to the type of blanket you needed. Loved the easy access to the river walk and river center mall. Every point of interest is located within a few blocks of this hotel. My kids enjoyed the pool. And I enjoyed the Starbucks located in the lobby.

Disappointed

Spanish lady who closed pool was VERY RUDE. Ted who checked me out called my children liar's. Room wasn't at all what we saw online when we booked it. No in room wifi without purchasing it. No breakfast. Room rates didn't include parking. Will never stay at another Marriot. Way overrated for the price. Garage parking should come with room, not be an extra charge. The only good was the 2 bellhop men and the lady that checked me in. They were very pleasing.
