Great location, Big Rooms, Nice and Clean, Only downside was u had to pay for wi-fi, which was expensive $9.95 per night, but u use free wi-if in lobby which is a pain when u want to stay in ur room, expensive hotel so think this should be free to guests, when I have stayed in the states before wi-fi was free! Anyway loved SA and I will be back again one day I'm sure ❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸❤️ Great hotel go check them out!! Their hospitality was 100% 😄

I left in tears.Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Staff were courteous.
Cons: Everything except the staff.
Location: Location was good and river walk access across the street.
It was supposed to be our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. Our room was small, very hot even with the thermostat set to 59 degrees as there was only one 12" by 8" vent on the wall facing the balcony (the bathroom was around the corner with no vent at all), parking fees were exorbitant, the dog park that they told us to use for our small dog was full of homeless people and vagrants, and they took our dog from our room because she was barking at kids running up and down the hallway. We panicked when we came back and could not find her (note was left but so inconspicuously that they had to come back to the room & show us where it was). We checked out a day early.

Very centralized to everything.Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: I liked everything on this hotel.
Cons: Everything was right with this hotel.
Location: Right next to the River Walk were to can walk, eat, and shop.
Of all the hotels I've stayed at this one was the best from very clean (didn't have any issues with my allergies and I have pretty bad allergies), very quiet, was taken care of, and most of call comfortable.

Paid too much for accommodations we got.Posted Jun 23, 2015
Older hotel. Open hallways made it very hot and muggy. We didn't get the room we booked, so hotel brought up a rollaway so we were quite cramped. The door to our room was like a double french door w curtains over it and I didn't feel very secure. One nice thing when we arrived, the man who greeted us told us about the parking garage across the street that was much, much cheaper than the hotel.

Enjoyed the hotel. I thought the mariachis poolside was a nice added touch!

Very nice hotel in the heart of river walk activity. Out the door onto the river walk. Liked the balconies.

Absolutely wonderful!!!!Posted Jun 22, 2015
The rooms were very clean, turn down service, milk and cookies for our children at bedtime, mariachi band played by the pool in the afternoon, extremely helpful concierge! Would stay here again and again! And best of all- location was perfect access to restaurants in the river.

Location: Rivewalk, downtown, convention center
I was there 06/17-19/2015. FIRST THE GOOD: The staff was professional and attentive -- everything I could ask for. The restraurant was first rate -- good menu and exquisitely prepared meals. The location is very central. The gym (albeit off-premises) was top-of-the-line. The room was clean and roomy, and the bathroom was elegant. NOW THE NOT SO GOOD. The bar had no ambiance. I ended up asking the concierge for something more elegant. The concierge was friendly, but dien't have much knowledge about options beyond what appealed to the sandals and t-shirt crowd on the riverwalk. The foyer could have used some soft edges -- rugs, flowers, etc would help. The low ceilings in the foyer made it feel cramped, but there's not much that can be done about it. While my room was cool, the hallways were like a furnace. The room itself was dark, and opening the curtain was not an option since the window opened to a walkway. As for cable/internet, I'm always irked if the hotel where I stay doesn't have at least one HBO-like channel. And internet should be free.

La mansion del rio always makes my experience hassel free. I can relax and enjoy my family and myself and for that reason I always stay at the mansion.
