“Additional Fees For What We Already Paid For”

They changed one of our rooms to a smoking room, and when we requested to be moved back to a non-smoking room they charged us an addtional fee. Also, the refrigerator wasn't working they tried to fix it the next day, it worked for awhile and then stopped working. The refrigerator was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, because we have young children.

“Great place to stray for BMT Graduation!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

We went down for my daughters graduation at Lackland AFB. This place was very close to base easy to get there. The staff was WONDERFUL They kept us informed about every thing going on. They also provided directions to and from base, places to eat and the local shopping. Overall We would recommed to anyone that is going for graduation.

“Military Graduation at Lackland AFB”

You will enjoy your stay at this convenient facility if you are attending BMT Graduation at Lackland AFB. The staff is eager to supply any needs you may have. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff are enjoyable to chat with. It's just minutes away from any shopping needs and resturants to meet all taste. We will certainly stay at this facility should we have the opportunity to return to San Antonio.

“Five night stay worked well.”

We stayed at this Rodeway, for 5 nights to attend my sons AF Basic Training Graduation. The close proximity to the base worked well with the numerous events we attended. The staff was very polite and helpful. Our requests for extra towels and missing coffee packs were responded to immediately. The front desk was very helpful with directions and locating a cork screw. There were not a lot of restaurants in the area but many good ones within a short drive.

“It provides what you need close to Lackland AFB.”

This is not the Ritz, but it does get the job done, it is close to Lackland AFB and it is quiet. If all you need is a place to crash and get a little something to eat before you head out, this motel fits the bill. And the little Texas shaped waffles are cute.

Area recommendations

Go to the River Walk for a nice relaxing time. It is quite different at day and night. Also go see the Alamo since it is right there. They have the best BBQ right on the walk.

“Clean, convenient, comfortable”

The Rodeway Inn at Lackland AFB is a great place to stay for an Air Force BMT Graduation. The location is great! The hotel employees were super friendly and helpful. The motel is old and don't excpect anything fancy. But it was clean, convenient, and comfortable.

“not impressed”

the staff was very very nice. but the hotel was crappy. we found fleas in our bed, a roach on the floor, and are sheets had paint on them, like they were used for drop cloths. the shower only had extreme hot or cold. it is not at all what i expected. the only great thing about the hotel was it was so close to the AFB which was our purpose. If it wasn't for the staff being so nice and helpful with directions i would rate this place a zero. it sorta grew on us though. we laughed and just accepted our situation. would i stay here again? not if i could help it.

local attractions were great. we did the riverwalk in san antonio and also went to sea world which was so great. if it wasn't for the 106 degree heat, i would have had a great time.

“Okay place to sleep”

We were there for my son's graduation at Lackland. We were gone all day, just slept and showered there. Was convenient to the base. Asked for extra pillows and they arrived within a couple of minutes. Complimentary breakfast was great for our busy schedule. Hotel could use some updating, but was okay for the price. Would stay again

“Average hotel”

The hotel was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. I thought I was overpriced for the quality of hotel room that I received. Overall it was a good experiece but I have come to expect better.
