Pleased near the Pearl

Pros: The staff, the bed, the shower.
Cons: The facilities overall could use an upgrade.
Location: Pear Brewery, Overtime Theater
Check-in staff was welcoming, informative, and helpful. The room was tidy and the bed well-made. For the type of hotel it is and the price point, the room was enjoyable and I feel I received a great return on investment for the rented evening. The shower's hot water poured instantly. I was very pleased with my experience, the stay, the location, and my interaction with the staff. The facilities and furniture aren't new an that is a-ok. "Pleasing" is the most appropriate descriptor for the stay.

There's nothing good about this property. I would never stay here.Would never recommend it to anyone i would advise to keep on going this is an awful place dirty filthy place

I-35 mote.

Pros: The motel accepts dogs, & since this is winter in Texas, we traveled with our 2 dogs, & stayed at this motel with not problems.
Cons: The bedspread need updating, & our TV did not have a clear picture, so the TV needs updating.
Location: Right at I-35 for easy access, & several miles to downtown. There is not much to do around the motel, but a nice Mexican restaurant is very near.
If you like the sound of I-35 traffic, then you will love staying here. The traffic noise is a continuous roar 24/7. We stayed on New Year's Eve, & so the hotel was expensive for what is offered. (It should have cost about $50-$60 max!) It is not close to the river walk or the heart of downtown San Antonio, & the area is a little shabby.

Not a great experience.

The room was definitely not the cleanest out there. The first night we were there, we had to go out to buy cleaning supplies and some bug spray. I definitely would not recommend this hotel and had it not been for the no refunds sign that was posted, I would not have completed my stay there.

horrible place

Cons: all has to improve all do something about it
Location: it is downtown but the ugly part in downtown
i would never ever in my life stay there ever again....that bad was the place the service was ok the cleaning person was very good very nice but the place the quuality of soap and all that you use is the worse the furniture is old so even though the cleaning is good it does not look clean the place is old and ugly the tv is old , the tolilet would not flush, the sink was clogged my god...do something about this please it is very depressing place even though your price would go up it would not matter if you had beter place a pretty clean place

Some issues with this motel.

Pros: Mattresses were comfortable.
Cons: Condition of the facilities. Breakfast could have been somewhat better, waffle batter tasted very sour.
Location: Location was ok for inexpensive residence; not noisy. Not much to do nearby, but not far to drive to major sites of interest.
Entry door did not fit tightly, so flying insects came in; not terrible, but unpleasant. Water knob for tub/shower was broken. After some effort, we were able to turn water on, but not adjust temp. We don't take cold showers. We reported this problelm to the managment at 9:00 a.m., then went about our sightseeing. When we returned at 1:30, our room had not been serviced, and nothing was done about the shower faucet. Management was not willing to give us another room, so we checked out a day ahead of our planned exit.

Last minute stay

We decided last minute to rent a room by the river walk. It was not close enough to walk and the highway noise was LOUD! I would not recommend this hotel because of that. I didn't sleep well and the ac unit would not stay on all night to help with drowning out the noise. The staff was friendly.
