Great location! Great hotel!Posted May 3, 2015
This grand old hotel has been completely remodeled inside and is directly across the street from the Alamo. It's only a short walk to the Riverwalk and a quick drive to the highway. The rooms are large and the staff is excellent.

nice, historic hotel near the AlamoPosted Apr 6, 2015
The hotel is steps from the Alamo on a quiet street. It is also very close (just across the street from the Alamo) from the Riverwalk. The rooms are very nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff is a hit-or-miss. The morning hotel staff are more helpful but everyone was friendly.. The Oro restaurant in the hotel was terrible. The service was slow almost to the point that we didn't think we were welcome .I think it was because there was a convention staying and they were in suits and we were not . Also the concierge was substandard also-he didn't want to be bothered. I would definitely recommend the hotel for its location, cleanliness and nice rooms. If the other stuff doesn't bother you, go for it.

Beautiful Hotel. Construction- not so much.Posted Mar 28, 2015
The staff was very friendly at check-in. Absolutely beautiful hotel. However, when we arrived to our room, we had a view of the back of the hotel. I would have been okay with this view if we didn't have scaffolding blocking our view with construction workers literally looking into our room. A/C didn't cool the room very well, but we understand that happens. The one thing that really struck a nerve with us is that we had been out quite late the night before and we got a wonderful wake up call at 7 am by construction starting next to our window on the 10th floor. I cannot believe we payed $250 dollars to have a room surrounded by construction that we weren't even notified about. For a Hilton, I would have expected much more. Not sure if we would stay again.

Very small roomPosted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The view, the staff and the valet parking.
Cons: Update the room and put king size beds in larger rooms. This room is just too small for 2 people.
Location: Next door to the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk and shopping.
The king size bed barely fit in the room. The room is approximately 25'x10' very very small. We had to turn sideways to pass each other in the room. Bathroom was dirty & very small. Vanity so small you could not put any personal items out. The A/C either froze you out or did not work at all. The curtains were torn. The elevators which were far from our room were very noisy. There was a lot of traffic noise even though we were on the 14 floor. Low quality amenities. And there was a chemical smell on the entire floor. Not worth the price. Not a 4 star quality hotel.

Not worth itPosted Mar 19, 2015
Hotel is not that fresh. Ventilation makes lots of sound also noises from the bathroom (running water in plumbing system) didn't let me to sleep. Water smells strongly chlorine and after few days my face was as made of paper. Terrible water. Good bed though. Breakfast way too expensive and not really in European standards. Breakfast room was so damn freezing I was actually considering to bring my blanket from upstairs. For this price I was expecting more!

Great hotelPosted Mar 19, 2015
We had a great experience at the Emily Morgan! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and large enough to move around in. And it was located close to everything we needed and wanted downtown. The only thing I would want people to know is that there is no free parking, I was unaware that the parking was $30 a day.
