Cheap

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Everything, but then it would cost more.
Well you get what you pay for. Its an ex ymca and if you're looking for cheap and basic accomodation this is it. Don't bother renting a room with a TV - they're fastened to the wall and can't turn to face the bed, and there's no remote. Its not worth the extra money.

Makes Motel 6 feel like the Ritz

Posted Sep 9, 2014
This was a truly awful experience for myself and my girlfriend. Our room was the size of a closet, maybe 9'x9' max. It looked like a prison cell, literally. We posted a photo for our friends to see and they thought we were joking. The sounds that carried all through the night were unbelievable. Wailing sirens, train whistles, transients and vagrants yelling and fighting in the street below our window. All of this gloriously echoing off the walls of the surrounding buildings, giving it a wonderful amphitheater effect. The one and only reason we were able to deal with it and tough it out was knowing we were leaving the next morning on a wonderful vacation and would NEVER SEE THIS PLACE AGAIN.. So, I'm pretty sure this makes my feelings fairly clear about our experience at 500 West. Oh, and we paid 40 bucks to park the car overnight.

Terrible night, disappointed!!

This hotel was not what we were expecting. The photos on the website looked nothing like what we got. There was no mention that the rooms did not have there own restrooms. In fact, you had to walk down a hall and use a public restroom and shower. Not to mention toilets we plug up in 2 of the restrooms. No air conditioning just a ceiling fan and an open a window. I would not recommend this to anyone. Worst room in our traveling experience.

Terrible, un fact I has ti move

Posted Sep 2, 2014
The rooms looks like prison rooms. Awful dirty, bad smell, no bathroom, the worst experience I have has in any hotel worldwide. I can not imagine how in somebodys mind in Expwdia could exist the possibillity of use that hotel. I lost my money because when I check the room I went down, took my luggage and moved myself to the next hotel. Of course they did nota gave my money back

Rip Off

Don't waste your money here. The pictures the hotel posts are not what you get. It's really small and it smells like pee. The walls are so thin. Worst ever.

Basic accommodations. Other than the dirty stains on the carpet, room was adequate. HOWEVER, the shared bathrooms were filthy. It was gross. The common areas were also adequate. Great location. No parking.
