Pros: Locatrion and price. They can't be beat.
Cons: One of two elevators was out of order. It's been out of order for a long time.
Location: Gaslamp district. Wter front. Bus to Coronado Island. Amtrak is two blocks away.
Conveniently located. Very affordable. Don't expect any luxury.

Pros: I did like the historical point of it.
Cons: There shouldn't be community restrooms.
I was dissapointed that a community restroom isn't part of the information before booking. I went with my eleven year old daughter on a mini vacation and this wasn't the hotel for her and I. It is a great place though for single people or college students. I do have to say the staff is great, very friendly, helpful, full of smiles and very willing to help with anything that we needed. I was very, very satisfied with that. If I am ever out by myself I would stay there again.

Close to downtown

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: cleanliness, walls are paper thin, people screaming at each other in the halls,
Location: close to ferry to the island, close to farmers market in little italy
Pictures were misleading - not as cleanly or safe as i would have hoped, but for the price I guess you get what you pay for. Very close to the water and little italy was a plus. made it a point to not stay in the room any longer than we had to.

Disappointing Hotel

The hotel was more like a hostel. Expect shared facilities and extremely simple rooms. I was very disappointed.

Affordable and close to everything

I chose this hotel mainly because of the location. It is close to the amtrak station, harbor, the mall and accessible to trolley and bus. Room is nice and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Super friendly staff and cleaning ladies!

Some toilets were plugged but there are lots of stalls on every floor. Room is small but it's a great deal for $40/ night! Yes... BRING EAR PLUGS AND SLEEPER COVERS! Construction at night was loud and blinds don't cover much of the awesome San diego sun! Hotel location was amazing! Close to everything I wanted to see and do! Train and bus was easy to use and only took me 20-30 min ride to Mission Beach! Bring your own slippers

Would not go back, central and cheap but very low quality. Quite depressing!! Found a bug in my room, decoration was terrible, smelled funny. Staff was nice though
