Americas Best Value Inn

The office lady was very nice. Room very dirty, carpet was so dirty I wore my shoes the whole night. Bathroom had NO soap, shampoo. No bar soap nothing!

Positives: low price, 3 blocks from ocean, free wifi Negatives: glass partition at front desk was not inviting, shut down building next door and newer paint but not WELL maintained, ice machine charged a quarter, needs major renovation. In conclusion: we ended up staying a fourth night just to save money and it would force us to get out and do things in sunny Oceanside for our second honeymoon because we didn't like the room.

The hotel is run down and in great need of remodeling. The price of the hotel was not extremely lower than the neighboring hotels so they should consider some upgrades. The payment was required upon check in making it impossible to leave and obtain a refund. The shower head was about five feet high. All it would take to fix that is a goose neck pipe and it could be raised at least ten inches. The tub was gold, a reflection of the 70's and had a worn finish which made it look dirty all the time. The room, two double bed, was large which was nice. The room was large enough to make both beds queens instead of the doubles. The matresses were well used and sat very low. Most of these things we could live with, but the one thing that was not acceptible was the condition of the carpet. I do not typically walk through a hotel room without socks or shoes on my feet, but when I walked on this carpet with stocking feet my socks were BLACK. In a beach community I would have preferred to see linolieum tile.

the bathroom door frame was busted out so you could not lock the door.the carpet was nasty,not enough towels,tolet ran all nite.this place sucks.never again

HOTEL EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE This was the worst hotel we ever stayed out. It was old and stuffy and the toilet was stopped up. There was no internet service or central air. WE Will never stay there again. We were disgusted and disappointed. The tv was old, the linen was old and the towels were dingy.

The hotel was totally getto. The front desk person was not friendly, he was rude. There was a bad odor to the room. There was people in the parking lot smoking weed. There was no coffee maker in the room and no hair drier. When I asked for more towels and blankets, I was given a hard time and was told they will see if they can get those items for me. The second night, I was awakened by fighting or someone getting a beating, they were loud, cursing and banging on things, I notified front desk but the banging continued. I will never stay in that hotel again. We booked the hotel through expedia and we got to the hotel at 2am, the attendant told us they cancel the reservation at midnight and he took our credit card again, I better not be double billed!

I was very happy with my experience. My company made the reservations for and they picked a good one. Thank you so much.

Loud traffic noise. Flat pillows.

1.Things that could be improved.1a.Breakfast,you have to pick it by the reception desk,coffee and if lucky a greasy muffin.1b.Noise,loads of people coming late at night,very noisy marines.1c.Our bedroom door could not be locked from the inside.1d.The bathroom was a bit tatty,specially the taps. 2.Good things.Big room with balcony.
