convenient and relaxing

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: staff and ambiance
Cons: when you get off I-8E, it would be nice if there was a sign telling you to turn right and then left and then left into entrance.
Very convenient to I-8, but it is quiet and there is a little place to sit out with a waterfall and peace and quiet.

Nice place to spend the night

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Although many people many think that this location is high up in the mountains and close to many attractions, it is important to understand that it is a very nice motel and a good place to relax from a long drive. For my trip, I used this location as a resting spot for touring the east San Diego County area, so for me this place was very relaxing for resting. The staff is friendly and had no problem checking in. The room was very clean but the bed was a bit to soft for my liking. The breakfast is nothing to get exited about but there is a Carl's Jr on the same lot as well as a very well attended restaurant.

Convenient, great price, very clean and updated!

Posted Mar 11, 2015
My husband and I wanted to check out Viejas casino, but didn't want to pay the expensive price for on property hotel. Ayres was the only other hotel in town. From pictures online I couldn't tell if it's be up to my standards, but was GREAT! Pet friendly, unlike casino, all updated amenities, and very clean!! Not to mention a free shuttle 24/7 to casino! Highly recommend!

A great outpost for traveling to Julian & Borrego

Posted Feb 26, 2015
The hotel is a lodge setting, so if you don't like stuffed heads etc., stay out of the lobby, there were none in the room. Just really nice solid wood furniture and very soft appointments. The only trouble we had at first was trying to find the bathroom light, which oddly was on a wall of the closet outside the door. The gym was nice with a treadmill and bike and weights and it's own shower facility too. We checked in for two nights, after our first night we drove "up the hill" and spent most of the day in Julian, ate at "Jeremy's on the Hill" quite a surprise find, wonderful food and great service (highly recommended) and then did some antiquing before descending to the desert floor of Borrego where we had dinner and drove back to the Ayres lodge. We had the second of two breakfasts (free) at the hotel before our departure back to San Diego. A perfect getaway!

Rumoroso

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Ampio parcheggio
Cons: Insonorizzazione camere
Zona bagno non separata dalla zona letto. Troppo rumore in camera
