“Great hotel; we'll stay there again!”

Our family (with kids ages 2, 4, and 6) stayed here for four nights in August. The staff were nice, and the breakfast was wonderful--lots of variety--eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, juices, milk, pasteries, etc. We stayed in more expensive and supposedly "fancy" hotels on this trip, but this one was the best! The neighborhood was great too--small grocery and several nice restaurants in easy walking distance. We were able to walk to a ferry that took us to San Diego. Not being a big-city person, I was glad to return to this hotel in Coronado at the end of a day in San Diego.

“what's not to like”

You can't go wrong with a stay on Coronado Island. You need at least 3 days to enjoy it.

clean rooms and bathroom, comfortable beds but not great pillows; crowded/little space but enough room for 3 adults. excellent location, great breakfast, great parking. Bes sure to call hotel and specify non smoking if desired. would stay here again for sure!

I found this Hotel to be very comfortable and unique in design. Located near the heart of Coronado, it was a very convenient place to stay. I think clean, unique and comfortable best describes this Hotel!! Also, they provide a complete breakfast!!

“Warm & friendly.”

The staff were really helpful, they went above & beyond the call of duty (especially Diego at the front desk). They helped me w/ local directions, restaurants & all kinds of things. There is a DVD library for the kids; breakfast is complimentary & was decent, & there are 2 good computers in the lobby for which use it is free.

“Great deal on Coronado Island!”

This small, clean hotel is a hidden gem on Coronado, where there are many high-priced options. The room was clean and quiet and they put out a nice breakfast spread.

“Pleasant and convenient-good value for the money.”

The hotel was a little farther from the beach and downtown area but closer to the ferry landing but because Coronado is so small everything was accessable. Good breakfast variety for the week we were there. The outside interior courtyard was a pleasant place to sit and read and although the pool was small it was a welcome place to cool off after a hot day.

“Average "value" hotel a little dated”

A good value compared to Downtown San Diego prices but nothing to write home about. Nice location with easy access to recreation choices. If you are willing to walk its a nice stroll to the Hotel de Coranado or rent a bike and use the bikepath around the island. Rooms where clean but make sure to ask for a off street room Orange Ave. is very busy during the morning commuter rush.

“Sleepless in Coronado”

The only problem with this hotel is it is location, on the corner of a busy intersection. The morning traffic starts at 5:30AM and it is impossible to sleep eight hours with the sound of cars, trucks and motorcycles passing by, unless you are partially or wholly lacking or deprived of the sense of hearing. Maybe there is a quiet room in the back. Otherwise the hotel is very good.
