Enjoyed our room and private beach outside our room. Good food in the restaurant. Friendly staff! This is our second time staying at the Bahia. Would recommend it!

Nice resort away from city centre

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms. Nice that you could choose calm bay or waves on the beach.
Cons: Hotel could use an update. We stayed in low rise buildings. High rise with balconies might be more modern.
Location: Lots of bars nearby. 2 minute walk to beach. Seaworld 5 minutes by car.
Nice hotel on the bay. A little older but clean and comfortable, restaurant on site, beach and water sports. 2 minute walk to beach. Lots of bar type restaurants and fast food places around. Didn't feel safe at night but we were 2 single women, just use common sense. You will need to rent a car or cab it everywhere. Close to Seaworld.

Great room location onto the beach

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and refurbished rooms
Cons: More sun beds on balcony. There were 3 of us staying in the room and there was only 2 of everything including glasses in room etc.
Location: We went into the city, to balboa park, whale watching boat trip, see the tall ships, shopping and to the beaches
Had a wonderful time in San Diego. The Bahia is very conveniently located to visit many of the attractions and the city itself. The room was ideally located and opened onto a small beach. Fabulous views of the Bay and had a really relaxing break. Stayed at the Hotel last year and thought it was even better this year. Lots of good places to eat nearby. All staff were friendly and helpful. Hoping to visit again next year

Old hotel, good location, nice private beaches

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: private beach, easy access to parking
Cons: remodel the whole place
Location: beaches, site seeing
The hotel is a bit dated, with some updated furnitures, but overall, it looks and feels dated. I like the private beach, and the view to the ocean. I was upgraded to a single bedroom villa, which have access to the beach from the patio door. Unfortunately, the neighbour air conditioning is loud, so it ruined the aura completely. I did try to stay for another day, but the hotel was almost full, so I have to downgrade to a studio for more money, so I declined the offer and stayed in another property nearby. There are lots of nice hotels in the area, so do check around.

Perfect Location on Mission Bay

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Excellent view of bay
Cons: Parking situations. Cottages atleast should have marked parkings for them.
Location: Lots of water sport, and sea world activities can be done.
We stayed in a bay front cottage for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff is extremely cordial and try their level best to make you feel at home. Bahia Belle is a welcome addition and its really good to circle the bay at night. Hotel outdoor facilities and mission bay are excellent locations to have a leisurely stroll and to relax and unwind after a hectic day.

Nice get away..

The hotel is nicely landscaped and the hotel staff are very nice. I loved how I could walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. Check-in is a little late, 4pm, but you can wait at the hotel bar until they text you saying your room is ready. The drinks are a tad expensive at the bar. Definitely go to happy hour. The pork tacos are really yummy!

You could live inside the hotel :)

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Location: It,s 1 minute to the pacific, 2 minutes to all the food you want, bars and more
It's great, I loved, it smells a little bid like old, but it's extreme clean, quiet... My idea was to relax and do nothing, and the hotel was the perfect way to do it

The room was nicer than expected. Very roomy and the beds were very comfortable. I definitely want to stay again soon with family and friends. I like the bay seating cabanas too and the cafe food was delicious.

great location, beautiful view of the bay

when we checked in, we were upgraded to a king suite (reserved two doubles for my son and I) though this was nice, we probably would have preserved the two beds since a pull-out couch just doesn't have the same 'comfort'. other than that, the room was spacious and very accomodating to our needs.
