Nice resort close to the beach.

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Great Location, nice property and views.
Cons: Some updates, musty smell in hallway.
Location: Excellent location close to Mission Beach attractions, bars, restaurants, Mission Bay Park.
This is an older resort that could use some updating. The hallways smell a bit musty. But overall it is a pleasant place to stay. My room did not smell and it was clean. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. Great location next to Mission Bay Park and 5 minute walk to Mission Beach!

Great location

Posted Sep 23, 2014
We enjoyed this resort very much. It was close to the bay/beach/SeaWorld/restaurants/airport...everything we needed for a little family vacation away with our almost 3 year old son. Our water view suite was the perfect size for us. Staff was great. Food and drink prices were a bit high but what hotel or resort doesn't have that! Pool and gym were great too and we would've loved another day or two there! Great time.

This place is great! Right on the bay. Very private rooms. Close to Mission Beach. Very close to Sea World. Beautiful views, great pool area. The service in the bar wasn't as great granted we arrived later in the evening for dinner they weren't as friendly and accomodating as I would of expected .

Relaxing Beach/Bay Stay

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: I liked the fact it was right on the beach/bay. I was wonderful to walk out onto our balcony and hear the Ocean! It is right off of the interstate!
Location: Sea World is nearby, there is a nice Seal thing as well that we didn't get a chance to visit.
We absolutely loved this hotel. The room had a nice little kitchenette, wonderful views and great staff!

Nice resort away from city centre

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms. Nice that you could choose calm bay or waves on the beach.
Cons: Hotel could use an update. We stayed in low rise buildings. High rise with balconies might be more modern.
Location: Lots of bars nearby. 2 minute walk to beach. Seaworld 5 minutes by car.
Nice hotel on the bay. A little older but clean and comfortable, restaurant on site, beach and water sports. 2 minute walk to beach. Lots of bar type restaurants and fast food places around. Didn't feel safe at night but we were 2 single women, just use common sense. You will need to rent a car or cab it everywhere. Close to Seaworld.

Great room location onto the beach

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and refurbished rooms
Cons: More sun beds on balcony. There were 3 of us staying in the room and there was only 2 of everything including glasses in room etc.
Location: We went into the city, to balboa park, whale watching boat trip, see the tall ships, shopping and to the beaches
Had a wonderful time in San Diego. The Bahia is very conveniently located to visit many of the attractions and the city itself. The room was ideally located and opened onto a small beach. Fabulous views of the Bay and had a really relaxing break. Stayed at the Hotel last year and thought it was even better this year. Lots of good places to eat nearby. All staff were friendly and helpful. Hoping to visit again next year

Old hotel, good location, nice private beaches

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: private beach, easy access to parking
Cons: remodel the whole place
Location: beaches, site seeing
The hotel is a bit dated, with some updated furnitures, but overall, it looks and feels dated. I like the private beach, and the view to the ocean. I was upgraded to a single bedroom villa, which have access to the beach from the patio door. Unfortunately, the neighbour air conditioning is loud, so it ruined the aura completely. I did try to stay for another day, but the hotel was almost full, so I have to downgrade to a studio for more money, so I declined the offer and stayed in another property nearby. There are lots of nice hotels in the area, so do check around.
