Hotel on the BayPosted May 21, 2015
I've had terrible luck with hotels and false advertising... This was not the case. Our bay view room was just that and very relaxing! My husband and I had a wonderful time on the private beach and walked to Mission Beach from the hotel. Very close to lots of fun spots and very accommodating!

Disappointed in the experiencePosted May 20, 2015
Pros: Generally friendly staff. Good location.
Cons: Needs serious updating.
Location: Easy access to highways, beaches, Pacific Beach area, restaurants.
This hotel looked nothing like the online photos. We were visiting San Diego as a family (2 adults; 2 tween boys) for our daughter's college graduation. We stayed in a king suite in the 4 story building at the end of the hotel property overlooking the bay. Room was not super clean. Tired wall to wall carpet, linens, drapes. Definitely needs to be updated both in the rooms and in common areas. However, Front Desk staff was friendly, as were the restaurant staff generally. There is unfortunately a very unfriendly, dour young woman who is the host for breakfast. Not welcoming at all. Not accommodating. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She does not belong in the hospitality business. Had to pay for my morning cup of coffee. I expected it would be complimentary especially as the coffee provided for "free" in the room was awful. Fitness room was barely sufficient with old broken equipment. Disappointing experience overall which is too bad as the hotel is in a nice location.

our 2nd time at this hotel, great customer service, clean but older, perfect location, would go back even though i generally choose more modern facilities, the location makes up for it, great pool. and i like the free parking.

Nice hotel with a perfect locationPosted May 13, 2015
This is a great place to stay, the hotel is not luxurious but is nice, great staff, has its own restaurant with (very good food, try the warm crab and artichoke dip), its own bar, an is a block away from the heart of the mission bay and the belmont park. Rent a bike and take a ride along the mission blv street, if I go back to SD this is the place where im staying for sure.

Affordable hotel on the bayPosted May 12, 2015
The Bahia is a 3 star at best. The hotel was clean but the rooms are very outdated. If you're looking for an affordable room with free parking and easy access to the city, it's a decent spot.

Great relaxing experience. Top rate location.Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: The location cannot be beat. The lush tropical grounds were outstanding. Our room had a beautiful view of mission bay right there!
Cons: Some of the furniture is the room needs up dating but overall it was excellent.
Location: Sea World is down the street, Old Town a few miles, and of course the San Diego Zoo!
We took our grand daughter for a couple of days to San Diego. The Bahia was close to fun yet with an excellent quiet location. There are sea lions that have been rescued that you can watch being fed. The pool was wonderful. The room with a small kitchenette was handy!
