Nice hotel with views of boat marina or harbor.Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: location was quiet and had beautiful views but was still close to Sea World, beach and other attractions.
Cons: Charge for parking was kind of a bummer, should be included in the room rate.
Location: The walking path that runs along Shelter Island was nice.
Friendly staff, clean, nice views. It was nice that they had a restaurant on the premises although service was a bit slow.... the view while you wait of the boats in the marina was great. Pool looked inviting but we didn't didn't a chance to use it as our schedule did not allow. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Free Wi-Fi.

Our second stay at Bay Club Hotel & Marina!Posted Mar 25, 2015
We stayed here last June on our road trip from San Diego to La and San Francisco. We had such a great time we spent another week in San Diego and had to stay again. Our hotel room was clean and spacious. The food and drinks at the restaurant/bar area are delicious and well priced. Room service isn't outrageous you can get a burger and fries for 10$ plus a small room service fee. The pool and hot tub area are clean and have a beatiful view of the marina. We will be back!!

Pros: All of the above - would stay here again.
Loved the comfy beds, pillows, nice pool and friendly staff. The hotel was quiet, and $10,/day parking not too bad. Nice happy hour half price drinks, food.

Our hotel stayPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere and view of boat harbor
Cons: Already posted
Location: Bali Hi was fun dining. Hotel is close to La Jolla and water front activities.
Great location with decent accommodations. Room service needs order placards placed on rooms at night for morning service. The building exterior is quite aged and rugged in appearance. Parking is sub par.

Bc we had booked through expedia, we were initially given a type of room not requested. We had to ruffle some feathers to get the room we paid for

Great experience as usual, consistent, like remodePosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, overlooking marina Warm friendly staff. Love new nautical remodeling Consistent restaurant food Comfy spa
Cons: There were a couple big bugs in the lobby.. Yikes! Not a huge fan of new hard floors in the rooms. Just IMO
Location: Humphreys for concerts Park/Shelter Island strand Very close driving/biking/walking distance to restaurants, etc
This was the 4th or 5th time I've stayed at Bay Club and it never gets old or disapponting. Staff is mostly wonderful and the room is very nice, spacious w/ an amazing marina view for the price. Food in the restaurant is consistently good too, I had the clam chowder (twice!), seafood salad and crab cakes. I miss their old breakfast buffet.. But I guess that was too much of an expense for them to keep up. The hotel grounds is on the smaller side, but I like the privacy and quietness w/o a lot of guests. Spa and pool are great too. I'll def be coming back in future vacays.

A Week In San DiegoPosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: The location was the greatest. We had a free breakfast which made it possible for us to take advantage of more activities. The weather was awesome.
Cons: The bed was rather soft for us and although we slept well, it's almost time for a new mattress.
Location: It was an amazing location. Near some really nice restaurants and only 5 minutes from downtown. We walked twice a day along the bay.
We had a wonderful time and the stay at Bay Club was really nice. Staff were very, very helpful in helping us get discount tickets and directions. The maid was always there to keep the room clean. We were right across the street from the bay so we saw a sub and navy ships go buy. Beautiful walk to the pier.

Hotel Staff GreatPosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: The wait staff were the best.
Cons: I would have a table with a few chairs instead of a desk but that was just what would have helped us out.
Location: Deep sea fishing, Whale watching location is close. The maritime museum and Old Town are very near and we had easy access to the Cabrillo Monument.
The hotel was close to the places that we wanted to visit. The staff was very accomadating as we arrived quite late and the kids wanted to swim and were also hungry so while the kids were in the pool the bar/restaurant staff made them some items from the menu and we took it to the room to eat. Kids were delighted. Breakfasts were great and the wait staff was very personable. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. We would use this hotel again if given the opportunity.

Excellent visitPosted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: The bathrooms were clean but could be updated to a modern design.
Location: Sunset cliffs, Cabrillo National Park, and Torrey Pines are beautiful and easy to get to.
My wife and I stayed here while vacationing in San Diego. It's a great location near lots of places to eat and popular destinations are within a 20 minute drive.
