Nice hotel with an OK poolPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: All except the pool was just as I hoped for. Even the continental breakfast the next morning was yummy.
Cons: The pool drains that were clogged during our 1 night stay. Also, more seating in the breakfast area seemed to be needed during the busy travel time.
Location: We went to the Safari Park about 9 miles away.
We had a very nice experience at our stay. My only disappointment was the pool. The water smelled "old" when we got out and smelled our hair/bathing suits. This may be because the drains were clogged and there was a big pool of water surrounding the pool. The next morning I looked outside my room to see that the drain was fixed by then because there water around the pool had dried up completely.

Will recommend and will returnPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, location, friendly staff
Location: San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Sightseeing tours in San Diego
Very nice and clean the bed was so comfortable. The staff was friendly and honest. I sat in the lobby waiting for my husband I got up n left to go sight seeing then realized I left my wristlet with my credit cards and cash in it. I was horrified because I didn't know if I lost it, dropped it or left in the chair in the hotel lobby. I called the hotel spoke to the front desk and they found it. When I got back she ask me to describe it I did and when I looked inside everything was in it. I was so grateful. I will definitely stay again.

Nice rooms...Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: convenient location, right off 15fwy
Cons: shampoo carpet in hallway and in need of a coat of paint...rooms are well maintained, it's too bad the hallways aren't.
Location: nice location, safe...close to restaurants and freeway access.
Room was very clean and comfortable, hallway is in need of a good carpet cleaning and paint!

Had a positive experiencePosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the Best Western Escondido recently with my family for a week's vacation. We had great service, the room was clean, the continental breakfast was ok with a variety of items including a waffle maker that my girls love. We were happy to come back from a day of fun to a nice place to rest.

An OK hotelPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was clean, it smelled a little weird. The hallway frequently smelled like smoke. The wi-fi was terrible. I was unable to check my e-mail the entire time, even from the lobby. The breakfast buffet was small, and the coffee was weak. The walls were paper thin, thus we got a serenade from our neighbors who were on a romantic getaway. The pool was nice and so was the hot tub. The beds were comfortable. I doubt we will stay again, especially because of the wi-fi situation. It really bummed my kids out.

Great experiencePosted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for Comic Con. It wasn't too bad of a drive to get into SD downtown and traffic was ok even at rush hour. The hotel is much nicer than a normal Best Western. Our room was great. One king sized bed, but a 2 room suite that I didn't pay extra to get (still not sure if I was upgraded or not). The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever been in. I wish I had it at my home. The pillows were great. Both of us agreed the sleeping experience was above wonderful. The breakfast area has good fixins' but omg, the lack of tables is ridiculous. Be prepared to wait for one to open up. Coffee is meh. Help is constantly refilling and it was great except that it is SO crowded.
