“I will definitely go back to this hotel.”
The hotel location was great. We called for a shuttle and it was there when we needed it. We had a very nice breakfast. We did have to wait a liitle bit to get something to our room but everything else was great.
“Not impressed”
We booked this hotel to use the heated pool with our 4 year old daughter and the pool was closed the entire time we were there. Also, the parking space were extremely tiny in the parking garage and the neighborhood was sketchy.
“Convention in San Diego.”
I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the service at the front desk.. I appreciated being able to walk to the Convention Center and the amazing Horton Shopping Center in approximately 15 minutes. It was a bonus to have breakfast included in the rate and be able to park a car within the hotel at a reasonable rate. Contrary to other reviews I had read, the elevators ran in a timely fashion. My room, which was on the 14th floor, was more than adequate and there was instant hot water for my morning shower. The neighbourhood is enjoying a rennaisance with the building of new condominium apartments which makes it very quiet in the evenings.
“Good Location, Great Staff..”
This hotel may not be "flashy and High-End" but for the price, ease of location and overall quality, for the price I don't think you'll find a better deal. The only drawback is their Continental Hot Breakfast which is served in the adjoining restaurant. It leaves a lot to be desired; the choices are not that good or varied but the coffee is very good. Overall, we would stay here again and would recommend it to others. Buy a 2 or 3 day MTS pass; It's well worth it..
“So-So”
Hotel located quite far away from the Gaslamp area, it took me 20-30mins walking from hotel to the area. A standard hotel service, not very good but not too bad. The price is reasonable compare to the other hotels in San Diego, but should be lower.
“Good location, good price”
The hotel is clean and is located downtown near Little Italy. You can visit Little Italy and the Gaslamp quarter by feet. What's not so good: You hear the Train during day and night honking.
“Great value.”
Not fancy but a decent room in a good location near Little Italy and the waterfront. Parking is a bargain for the area. Management was responsive to requests and the front desk staff was very friendly.
“OK if you don't watch TV”
Excellent staff, icluding desk, maid, shuttle driver, and breakfast host. Large clean room, although I'm not sure why I got a wheelchair room. Unfortunately, it's a smoking hotel, with no fitness facilities, and inadequate TV. My TV was a 20yr old tube set with snowy reception on most channels. Also, it was the minimum cable package, so no Fox, CNBC, or Bloomberg cable stations. I checked with the front desk to see if it was just my room - they apologized but said that's all the stations they get. I'm surprised Best Western allows this.
“Pretty Good!”
I guess the "Plus" in Bestwestern Plus really makes a big differene. This is what I liked: FREE Wi-Fi (although there were some spots in my room which I got a low signal) Low cost parking - only $10 to park and you get in and out Breakfast - was really good for it being free! There was a good selection! Rooms were nice and clean. The front staff was great. It is a good option to stay here!
“too noisy”
theres a lot of noise inside the room, and out in the street. the staff of the hotel doesnt matter the claims of the clients.
