“Great location”

Overall the value and location are great. Real close to Sea World, and right in the middle of Old Town San Diego. The mandatory $12 up charge for 2 water bottles and WIFI was extreme.

“Great Location and value!”

Couldnt ask for anything closer to Old Town! The vibe and confort of the hotel was wonderful. It was stylish for an affordable price and the service was up to par. Will Stay again!

“Uncomfortable Beds and Inadequate Parking”

The beds were very uncomfortable, and there wasn't enough parking on site. They charge to park in their structure (understandable, given the area), but they also allow the general public to use the structure, too. The location, however, is good. Very close proximity to Old Town, and conveniently close to gaslamp/downtown, Seaworld, Zoo, etc.

“Love the Old Town location”

We love the Old Town location and have stayed there often. It's great to have a lively neighborhood surrounding the hotel, with historic sites, wonderful food, and unusual gift shops selling such a variety of items. On the "con" side, the hotel can be hard to get to. A GPS is recommended, especially at night.

Area recommendations

Old Town - feels like a real neighborhood. Hotel Circle is good if proximity to the freeway is most important.

“Best Hotel In Old Town San Diego...if your room isn't situated right next to Juan Street”

We love this hotel and book it every time we go to San Diego. The location is walking distance to everything Old Town has to offer. The Spanish-style decor is lovely and the amenities are fantastic. The fountains are nice and it really feels like you are on vacation when you come here. Enjoy a few margaritas and homemade tortillas in Old Town and then walk back to your nice room. If you can get it, try to get a west-facing room. The rooms that align Juan street are darker and the late-night traffic along that street will keep you up all night. Also, the pillows are extremely thick. My neck is still hurting. We'll keep going back but we always forget to bring our own pillows and then regret it later.

Old Town is so fun and laid-back. We don't even head to downtown SD anymore.

“Frequent Flyer”

My favorite hotel in San Diego because it's an attractive, well maintained hotel that's close to everything. Old Town is fun because you can walk to your favorite restaurant or hop on the trolley to Gaslamp or the ball park. Hotel has nice sized rooms and good landscaping.

“VERY pleased.”

The hotel has a rustic charm. Great service, excellent location to everything. Our room was very large and clean. Will continue to go here in the future. For the price cannot be beat! Thank you Hacienda and Expedia!

Area recommendations

All of San Diego....definately take the Trolly Tour and if possible the Seal Tour out of Seaport Village. Very informative and fun.

“From a neat freak...”

I'm a neat freak.. This place was ok. BUT.....in the closet, on top of the safe was a old under shirt. And behind the door was alot of webs. From the top of the roof to the floor, all covered with webs. Now the location was the best!! The pool nice, and the pepole was very nice. My kids loved it!!
