great hotel in La Jolla for the pricePosted Aug 7, 2014
very friendly staff, full complimentary breakfast, close to the beaches, one block from restaurants and shops, clean, larger than average rooms with balconies. I've stayed here the past two years and will come here again.

Yes, I would returnPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Location - walking distance to ocean and seals!!
Cons: Upgrade some of the breakfast offerings
Location: Seal watching, beach, tours, great food selections and shopping
Our original plans were to stay at another hotel in the area but our daughter stayed there and told us to stay at this Best Western. We are so glad we stayed here and on our next trip back we will stay here again. The front desk staff was excellent !!! Housekeeping was good Complimentary breakfast was just a little less than good but more than average. There was enough variety that both of us were satisfied.

Nicest Best Western I've ever seen.Posted Jul 30, 2014
Great location! Large clean room with balcony. Free WiFi and adequate breakfast. No odors. Restaurant next door with good brick oven pizzas will deliver. Rooms lack a safe. Parking can be difficult and worth the $12/night.

Great location!Posted Jul 15, 2014
I was very pleased with my stay at the inn by the sea in La Jolla. Because I was driving in and arrived earlier they were able to give me an early check-in which was so appreciated. They were very accommodating with more towels when I asked and the breakfast was more than I had expected. I would stay there again.

Great locationPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location, pool.
Cons: The bathrooms could use a complete remodel. There were looking a little rough. The sink and vanity area needs to be bigger.
Location: Close to restaurants and the ocean. Could walk a lot of places.
It's about what I expected. The location is awesome. The rooms were a little disappointing. Pretty small and outdated, though they are in the process of updating rooms. The bathroom sink vanity was tiny so all of our toiletries had to go on the dresser by the tv. Tight living quarters for a family of 4 for 9 days but we don't sit in the hotel on vacation, it's just a place to sleep. The beds were comfortable. The pool was nicer than I expected. Parking was tight. I don't know how you would fit an SUV in the underground area. We managed to find a place to park every night though. La Jolla is beautiful and I would stay here again if the price was right.

We stay here every time we go to La Jolla.Posted Jul 7, 2014
You can't beat the location, right downtown near all the restaurants and shops, and just a few blocks walk to the prettiest beaches in America. The price is right and our room was comfortable and clean. At the price, too, it's our home on the road.

Reasonable cost, very convenientPosted Jul 4, 2014
Used as a base when travelling with family - not the Ritz, but nice and clean, reasonable breakfast, convenient pool. All we wanted.

Very good location. Breakfast around the pool is a very good idea.
