Stunning view of marina and downtown!

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: We appreciated that the hotel gave the option of paying $10 per night for parking or parking for nothing in the public lot across the road.
We've been to San Diego many times and this was easily the best hotel experience we have had there. The Shelter Island location was an easy drive to downtown, the beaches, mission valley, etc. We really enjoyed the ambiance of waking up to the marina view and walking along the penninsula edge. There were fire puts on the beach to enjoy an evening bonfire.

Beautiful location

Posted May 21, 2015
The hotel is located on the shelter island with the beautiful water front view. Things of the hotel are ok, not outstanding nor grossly bad. The price is reasonable comparing to other major hotels. One of the reasons we booked was because it had shuttle service for the port and airport. They canceled that service without notifying us. We got off the cruise ship with kids and luggage, and it was a bit hustle. They were not sorry for the inconvenience that they had caused to us.

Pros: Die Lage
Cons: Bäder müssten renoviert werden
Location: Auf Shelter Island, sehr ruhig, nichts los im Mai, schön spazieren gehen
Anlage sehr weitläufig und gepflegt. Ruhig, Auto notwendig. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind veraltet, stört aber nicht unbedingt.

Short distance from Airport

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Free public parking across the street in the harbor's parking lot. There was a small pool in the back but we didn't get the chance to use it.
Cons: A bit loud in the morning because we could hear the guests upstairs walking around. Try asking for a second floor room if you can.
Location: Harbor, pier, restaurants, evening entertainment at Humphrey's
The hotel was a short distance from the airport in the Shelter Island area right across from a beautiful harbor and pier. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and there is a walk-out to a small porch for the rooms on the first floor. Access card is required to enter the building afterhours which is good for safety and security. The only downside is that we could hear the guests upstairs walk around in the morning so sound insulation isn't the greatest.

Potentially a nice place to stay.....

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Clean and spacious, lots of parking close to the room.
Cons: The view of the waterfront, at least in the area of the room we had
The room was nice and large, it was clean and well furnished, unfortunately our view of the waterfront was almost completely blocked by a row of trees in front of our patio.
