Nice hotel with a great view.Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: I liked the location and the view. It was a very relaxing environment.
Cons: If you have kids there isn't much to do except swim. However, there is a playground across the street.
Location: The location is perfect on the bay, quiet and relaxing. If you're looking for excitement and lots to do this is not the place for you.
The hotel was nice. It had a great view and the grounds were very well keep. The newly remodeled rooms were very nice and descent size. The hotel staff were nice and very prompt. The location was great and perfect distance from everything (sea world, downtown, zoo, etc). The only thing was the restaurant staff could be better. Our waitress seemed liked she didn't want to be bothered and she disappeared for most of our meal. The food was okay but a little pricey. The only thing that was deceiving by the hotel pictures were the pools, they were much smaller than they look on the pictures.

Girls Business TripPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location, quite but yet close to shops.
Cons: Maybe add more items to their menu. It was a little limited. Add a continental breakfast.
Location: There are many places to visit while your here and I feel that the location of this Hotel was perfect for us.
My daughter had stayed at this hotel before and just loved it. So, I thought I would book our room there for 3 days and check it out. I love it here. So beautiful, convenient, has everything you need. We walked out our room door to see the Air Force Carrier Ships coming into the Bay. Behind us was a view of the Marina. Out front they had a great walkway which many of us used first thing in the morning for our walk. Plenty of grass, a playground for the kids, a dock that many were fishing off of. Clean Rest Rooms. The staff was wonderful. We got to meet many locals in the Island Palms Bar. The pool was very refreshing. I'm taking my husband here, he will think he's in Heaven. I won't stay anywhere else except the Best Western Island Palms. You have to go here. Tell them Paula sent you:)

Beautiful location, very easy to access.Posted Jul 17, 2014
The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Island Palms several times and it will be our how to hotel when we visit San Diego in the future.

Convenient Position. Reasonable Rates.Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Convenient location. Reasonable rates. Good restaurant. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Air conditioning needs improving. Greater pillow selection needs to be offered. Laundry use should be free of charge.
Location: Close to San Diego City centre, Sea World and the airport. Sea World was wonderful. Pleasant harbour environment.
This hotel was conveniently located and had lovely views of the mania from the restaurant which served good food. The pool was a good size and the staff were helpful. Our biggest disappointment was that the air conditioner was too loud and could not be adjusted so we had a very uncomfortable, hot evening on the second day of our stay. When asked how our stay had been by check-out staff I mentioned the air conditioner and they promptly took off any charge for parking and said they would address the problem. The other issue was pillows which were too soft. I probably should gave requested a change but as I had asked for firm pillows upon booking, I expected that would have been done.

Very nice hotel. Near the beachPosted Jul 15, 2014
The hotel is very nice. The room looks like a one bed room apartment so its huge if it is for 2 people plus we got a sofabed for the kids. Its totally worth the money we paid for. The downside is there is no public transportation around the place. You got to have your own, rented car or taxi to get around the city.

Great location, clean facilities, thin wallsPosted Jul 14, 2014
Two pools, free tennis and bikes, clean room, large bathroom. The only bummer was thin walls. This was our second stay here and had the exact same experience. The neighbors tv sounded like it was in our room! Other than that our stay was pleasant - great views and location.

This hotel is just OKPosted Jul 12, 2014
Nothing special, comfortable bed, clean room and nice bathroom. But noisy air conditioner. ( through the wall) blasting on the bed all night. For the price there's options on Shelter Island that I'd go to first, Humpherys is overall the best.
