The carpets were a bit stained, the safe was missing a battery, and the toilet seat was breaking but overall it was a great stay for the price, great location, maid service, free wifi and friendly staff. I woukd reccommend. :-)

Nice, close to public transport

Pros: Nice bedding, extremely comfortable pillows and a mini fridge and microwave in my room.
Cons: The bathroom lighting was a bit strange, not sure if it was just my room or what but the switch took a long time to activate the light.
Location: The trolley is right next to the hotel so it's easy to get to numerous places. Little Italy, Tijuana, the Gas Lamp Quarter, the Marina and much more.
I flew into San Diego and I did not want to pay for taxi service everywhere, so this hotel is in a good location, it is right next to a visitor information center and the E St trolley station. It was very convenient to take me to a number of attractions in San Diego. The staff was helpful, it wasn't costly and my room was clean.

A clean inexpensive place to sleep......

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Easy access to I5, clean and price!
Cons: Maybe a fence on the back side of the hotel between the transit station, to eliminate train noise and foot traffic.
Location: There are several bars, fast food restaurants, malls and gas stations - all very easily accessible. I5 entrance is right by this hotel.
My husband spent a week in this hotel, we scaled back because we wanted to see all the sites of San Diego, travel into Tijuana and use our vacation budget for day trips rather than a lavish hotel. We were greated by a very friendly front desk clerk, provided with a ground floor, exceptionally clean room, free wifi, and daily breakfast. The drawback of this hotel is the proximity to the train tracks and hearing this throughout the night, after the first night it was just background noise. On a few occasions transients were wandering on the back side of the hotel and you could hear them outside the bathroom window.

So-So Stay!!

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: The housekeeping was extremely helpful.
Cons: The night clerk!!
Location: Not sure since I just spent the night and was in ton for a burial.
The night clerk at the front desk was not very friendly. It seemed like he did not want to be there. It wasn't my fault he had to work! On the plus side, the housekeeping supevisor who was working the Breakfast Room was super friendly and very helpful. When I told her our towels appeared to be dirty (like they had been used!) she immediately apologized and brought over some clean ones. She was very helpful at the Breakfast room asking if she could get us anything else. The web site photos are a little decieving. The Hotel is not as great as it looks so I was slightly disappointed. But for one night it was ok.

Near highways ,15 minutes drive from San Diego Zoo

Posted Jan 23, 2014
Pros: Best value , to benefit of a real good reduction for 2 nights stay.
Cons: The coffe at the breakfast and add more fruits.
Location: go to the beache Coronado Beach in San Diego. Nice and quiet (in january it was quiet). Go to the San Diego Zoo
We booked at the last minute and had 2 nights at 40% reduction. It is close from highway, and it took about 15 minutes driving to go to San Diego Zoo (not in traffic time). The staff was good, nice. We had a small fridge and microwave. The beds are oK, but soft. We had a breafast included with the price and I like to do my own waflfes. The coffe has not the taste of Starbuck, but for a start in the morning and the price we pay, that's oK. There is a nice beach to go not that far and the staff showed us how to get there.
