Nice hotel. Convenient to the airport (important)

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: Convenience, ease of parking
Cons: Accessibility to the parking lot for retrieving heavy luggage from the car. We had a heavy oxygen concentrator to bring in.
Hotel was easy to locate, convenient to the airport, and it was easy for us to leave town driving the next morning.

Hotel close to the Harbor

Posted Dec 21, 2014
1st room smelled gross, had 5 of us in a room and didn't get enough towels and had to ask on the second day for new cups. Cleaning staff didn't speak english and deck door leaked water into the room when it rained.

Location

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Must say, the staff at this Best Western location were Excellent. Due to staying a full 2 weeks, emailed ahead to ask few questions. Had a warm welcoming response from the Manager. Housekeeping staff were always smiling and friendly too. The breakfast is small, but warm and available . Good if you have a busy day ahead. I bought gluten free bread & used the breakfast room toaster. The room coffe maker is small, but had really decent tasting coffee, compared to other hotels ( I must travel too much if I compare the coffee !) It is not a fancy hotel. It is quite basic. The road is LOUD even on the top floors. Seems to be the type of road / construction. But the hotel offers earplugs and noise cancelling machines . Very thoughtful. Great restaurants across the road. Or ask at front desk about 'local seafood diners'. They are very helpful. My suggestion: they need in room, individual, safe boxes. I would also add cold water dispenser to breakfast room, as a few people asked. I'll be returning to this hotel. If you're not after a 'luxury' experience, just a friendly place to stay over, this is good.

Affordable and Convenient

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: For us, the location was where we wanted to be, and it was easy to get to the places where we wanted to go. Public transportation is easily accessed.
Cons: I wish the rooms were bigger; roomier. Providing two luggage racks would help, since, as a couple, we each have our own suitcase, we each need a rack
Location: You can walk to the beach, nearby restaurants, convenience stores, or catch a city bus or trolley to see most other sights.
For our needs as to location, cost and convenience, this fit the bill. No other suitable or comparable sized hotel could have met the price--and affordability was our goal, since we are on a fixed income. Although the rooms are rather cramped, we made do because all we left early for our activities and came back late, so our free time was not spent in the room. Breakfast was an added plus, because it was sufficient. If the egg "patties" were not to ones liking, certainly, milk, cereals, coffee, juices, breads, yogurt, fruit, pancakes and sausage or bacon could hold up until lunch. The rooms were clean, and, although we live on a ranch (quiet and isolated), traffic noise was not an issue. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional, and extremely helpful with suggestions and directions to various places.

Great location, close to OB and Liberty Station!!!

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Sleep Number Beds would help, at least pillow top mattress', fix the interior room locks, ours was ready to fall off of the door frame!
Location: Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs, Liberty Station, Sea Port Village, Airport (not a plus..................)
Hotel is a little dated, nice patios, beds could be more comfortable, breakfast was not bad, overall not a bad stay and the location was ideal for our purposes!

Pros: doesn't look appealing from outside but you have everything you need and clean!
Cons: real eggs please :)
Location: nice to walk on the harbor and grocery store not far away
we stayed for 7 days and you can eat so much eggs and hash browns :) i love eggs and find they were funny ;) not real, but you had cereal, bagels, yogurts and muffins of course which i don't eat ... lol Room was clean and cleaned everyday, so thank you :) we didn't stay in the room just came to sleep.
