Older hotel in OK shape

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The workers and staff were nice
Cons: Update, update, update!
I stayed here a few years ago and thought the decor was dated back then. Nothing's changed. Clean enough but, you're not going to impress anyone by bringing them here. Room was stuffy and the AC didn't seem to work especially well (and this is in January). If I ever stay here again, I'll ask for an upstairs room so I can leave the balcony door open at night.

First Trip to Borrego Springs

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Quality and cleanliness of the room, dinner at The Arches
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Exploring the Anzo Borrego park -- lots to do and enjoy.
My husband and I planned a quick trip to Anzo Borrego Park and chose Borrego Springs resort for one night. We were pleasantly surprised by the nicely sized King Deluxe room as it was very comfortable. We also enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at The Arches, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The service, quality and amount of food was excellent. We will return to this resort, perhaps in the spring for the blooming of the desert flowers.

Its about right for the location

The restaurant arches has very poor service. Took 25 min just to get a side of fried portebello fries. Otherwise the hotel is fitting for the location.

The hotel is clean but outdated the price is right if you don't care about that stuff.if you just need a place to lay your head this works.

Pros: Location
Cons: Service all around
Location: town
Good, fine and dandy and relaxing - service crew could be sharper and more on top of these but good

Too expensive for a remodeled older hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed on Saturday November 1st to celebrate a birthday and to hike in the Anza-Boreggo State Park the next day. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and accommodating. The on-site restaurant was delicious. My partner and I will be back soon to explore this beautiful area again soon.

Nice hotel close in Borrego Springs

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Clean suite, very friendly staff
Cons: Get a working ice machine
Location: Golf, hiking
We had a really nice suite. The one ice machine was rigged not to work, however, which is tough when you're staying in the desert!

The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. The biggest thing that was disappointing was that there wasn't coffee or breakfast snacks available (someone said that coffee came out later but we went into lobby at 8:30, so you'd think there would be coffee and tea available). We had thought that the snack bar at the golf course would be open, but it wasn't. Basically, we had to drive back to town to get a cup of coffee and a cup of tea.
