Disappointing room comfort, but convenient locatio

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: location, access to outside, microwave, and a short walk to a good diner (Ruby's) and Starbucks
Cons: beds, pillows, lighting, carpets, linens, and breakfast.
Location: Outlets across the street, beaches nearby, walk to good restaurants, close to freeway
First, the room we stayed in did not match any of the photos I saw on Expedia. Nice things about the room were: first floor entry (since there is no elevator, and stairs are difficult for me), back patio open to grassy area, easy for guide dog user or pet owners (I am a guide dog user), and it included a microwave and refrigerator. Other nice things were the breakfast, and it's location, which was a short walk across the street to restaurants and shopping, close to the freeway. and a short drive to the beach. Unfortunately, the beds were uncomfortable, the room seemed dated and too dark, and the pool was always full of kids. I think this hotel is great for kids and families with dogs, is fairly accessible, and a good location. But overall, I wa not impressed and disappointed that it did not match what I expected in the listing.

Nice hotel. Close to Legoland.

Hotel has a shuttle to go to Legoland and also to downtown and the beach. Stuff at the hotel was excellent. My tv remote control stopped working and they sent their technician rigth away. Hotel is not fancy but it's comfortable and the surroundings are excellent. My son loved the pool!

A bit noisy, but clean and friendly. The pool is lovely and much enjoyed by all the kids.

Cost does NOT equate quality here - the price is seemingly for the convenience (close to Legoland, walk across street to outlets/restaurants), but really, I've stayed at true RESORTS for less. Mold in the bathtub caulking, paint peeling, LOUD BANGING on ceiling (do NOT stay on first floor), 1/2 roll of toilet paper, AC didn't work very well, towels are super duper thin and rough. HOWEVER, it is easy access from the freeway (our room was practically sitting on the freeway, actually), they apparently have family suites, and a shuttle to Legoland. Didn't try the included breakfast, my kiddo preferred a jaunt to Starbucks (thank GOODNESS it was there - the hotel in-room coffee was like puddle water). I will NOT be staying here again. You definitely do NOT get what you pay for. Bummer, because I really, really, really wanted to love this place!

Caution

Booked room for 3 people. Got 1 king bed with no sleeper couch. Manager told us 3 people sleep in one bed often. He refused to give us a room with 2 queen beds without an additional charge. very disappointed.

It's... OK.

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Specifically it needs a remodel. But breakfast buffet could be improved. The fake egg omelets were disgusting. Coffee was horrible!
Location: Lots of shopping, good fast food selections, good cafes. No groceries nearby.
It's was an okay place. I would not stay there again because there are better places within the same area for similar prices if you look. Especially if you are doing Legoland. If you are an adult traveler wanting to avoid screaming kids, DO NOT stay here. PROS 1. Great location. Nearby shops and food available. Within walking distance. Legoland is 'walking distance', if you don't mind a 15 minute uphill trek. 2.Shuttle service to Legoland. Runs all the time. Only once did we get stranded when the shuttle didn't show for pickup from the park for nearly an hour (lots of groups waiting at the end of the day). We finally gave up and walked the family back. 3.Staff was super friendly and helpful. Don't forget to tip your shuttle drivers! 4. Breakfast buffet was ok 5. Fridge and microwave in the room. CONS 1. Old. Starting to look pretty shabby. Maids did an OK job, but the rooms were NOT resort. More like a roadside motel 6. 2. Shuttle only carry 6 at a time. They do have two, but don't always run them both. 3. Screaming mad kids ALL hours! (OK, my kids were amongst them, but I felt you needed fair warning). 4. Pool open until 10 PM. If you are ANYWHERE near the pool you will hear constant screaming. 5. It's a traffic nightmare drive to any grocery store. At least 10 minutes, on and off freeway. 6. Room walls paper thin. We had the opportunity to try and explain the very loud intimate noises coming from next door to our kids...

Great place for family of 5

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: online
Cons: Building letters and numbers more visible from parking lot. We were unsure if our parking spot as close to room. More handicap parking.
Location: food, shopping and Legoland
Great place, perfect for family with kids. Close to Legoland. Not walking distance but a 10 minute drive. Continental breakfast was better then what we expected. Room had plenty of room for 3 kids and 2 adults.
