The front desk staff was very helpful even before we arrived. We called to let them know we were going to be in late and they saved an upstairs room for us. When we arrived the front desk was busy but she was still very pleasant. We had a little trouble getting our tv to work and someone was up to help us within 5 minutes. The breakfast is convenient and a sufficient start for our day. The location is great if you're going to legoland and has many choices for eateries nearby. Overall a good experience!

Decent hotel for a Legoland visit

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Cons: Food
Location: Flower Fields - we didn't go because it seemed overpriced for the experience. Museum of Making Music - cheaper than flower fields and very fun!
Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast they provide is underwhelming - ok for a little cereal or bagel, but stay away from their hot food...pretty gross. There is a shuttle to Legoland which is great. We did not use the pool, so I can't comment on it.

Very Nice!

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Near the beach, garden across the street, restaurants, stores, outlets across the street, Legoland nearby.
I loved everything about this hotel. As for it being my first time staying there, I loved the location, close to the beach, gas stations, stores, outlets, restaurants & Legoland. The room was nice, loved the high ceilings & back patio with a nice grass area & trees. Microwave & refridgerator in the room is always a plus! I would recommend this hotel and would be looking forward to staying here again!

No way a resort!

It was impossible for us to get a full night's sleep. We constantly could hear guest on the stairs or in the other rooms- thin walls! My asthma started up very first day as I wonder when carpets etc where last cleaned. This place is a good family hotel for those taking children to Theme parks & wish do to it as cheaply as possible. I'm not even going to mention the free breakfast we went one time. Don't bother.

Not worth the money

This location is excellent. Near Lego land and outlit mall. The bathrooms are not clean. They have mold and loose items. The water pressure is very bad. The breakfast is not that great either.

Pros: Proximity to Legoland
Cons: Very old installations
Location: Legoland, outlet mal
Good experience, breakfast was good. It was close to Legoland which was the reason we went to Carlsbad, having the outlets across the street was a nice added bonus.

Definitely Not Again

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The location is awesome and very centrally located. The hotel, itself, is disappointing.
Location: Beach, shopping, Legoland, Sea World etc.
Staff were rude and not helpful. At check-in, the staff member was rude and disrespectful. She was unable to answer basic questions about the hotel, the breakfast and parking. The directions to the assigned room were not clear. The cleanliness and upkeep at the hotel was below standard. Trash (empty wrappers and beer cans) littered the stairwell to the room. It was obvious that the area had not been cleaned in several days. Outside hallways were dirty and not swept. The balcony had trash strewn around from one end to the other. The room, itself, was barely passible.

Was ok

Pros: Serving breakfast. Small pool to swim for kids.
Very close from Legoland and San Diego zoo. With in a walking distance, there are some nice restaurants and outlet. It was comfortable stay in this resort. Breakfast was ok.
