Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

The condos are great for families. The full kitchen came in handy, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. I do wish the hotel offered room service or at least cocktails at the pool.

Lovely hotel. The only (minor) complaint is that the photos led me to believe the hotel was ON the beach. It is not; there were a lot of stairs between hotel & sand.

Fantastic place. The very best of location and amenities. I know we will keep coming back here year after year.s

In a word.....AMAZING!! The room, the amenities, the close proximity to the ocean could not have been better. I LOVED our stay in this hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom condo, and the size of the condo, coupled with the presence of a full functional kitchen were very helpful if you are vacationing with small children, as we were. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Great location, friendly staff & very clean,nice room. the bed was awesome. Love the "Adults only" spa away from the pool & kids spa! Enjoyed the complimentary wine snacks & live music in the courtyard it was very relaxing

My fiancee and I chose this place based on the positive online reviews we read since neither of us had ever been to Carlsbad. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is located in a great area. Withing walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed in the main hotel building on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing the street. I was concerned that the view would be bad, but it was actually quite relaxing to eat breakfast on the balcony and watch the cars and people go by in the morning sun. You can tell that the building is a little older, but the building and rooms were clean, bright and very nicely updated. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was nice. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked very nice. The gas firepits were fun to sit around in the evening to relax and meet a few fellow guests. We rented the free beach cruiser bikes a couple of times during our stay. The gym was above average for a hotel gym. There were showers and lockers. The entire property seemed to be kept very clean and maintained.

Hard to beat this location. Service left much to be desired. Room was nice but nothing special. Towels had a sand paper feel to them. Great spot for a small family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice room, could use a little love, but a great set up. Issues at check in were dealt with nicely by the maintenance guy. I wish there was room service for bf, but not a deal breaker. We'll stay here again for sure.
