“Good place”

We were looking for a nice and inexpensive place to stay overnight while visiting in Carlsbad and this place fits the bill. No issues to speak of. We had a room right next to the pool and facing the freeway, but since we weren't in the room during the day, we only had some noise from the kids in the pool later in the day. The freeway noise is light, but I live in L.A. already so it's no big deal. Didn't keep me up. The breakfast (free) was very nice; waffles, pastries, good coffee. All in all, it was a nice place to stay for the price. If anyone wants absolute silence, gourmet food and plush surroundings, you ain't gonna get it by staying at an economy hotel. So no reason to complain at all.

This was a great place to stay...I was however surprised that it was such a small place. Not our room but the entirety of the hotel. Great people working...friendly!

“Finally an affordably nice place to stay!!!”

Sometimes you just never know what to expect when you get an affordable lodging booked, but this was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is small, but very clean and centrally located. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable and bathroom was really clean. My only complaint is the bathroom did not have a fan.

“Comfort Inn Carlsbad - Nice”

We visited Lego Land San Diego for a day and needed a place to stay for the night. The hotel was pleasant. Althoug it is a couple of exits from Lego Land, it is not a problem. There is only one family own restaurant close by and if your looking for a familiar name such as Denny's to dine, you'll have to drive about 10-15 blocks. Good place to stay when you just need a place to sleep for the night of two.

“Convenient to Legoland”

Our room was large, comfortable and convenient to Legoland. I would ask for a room in the rear of the hotel to avoid the freeway noise. Breakfast was simple but adequate.

“Nice hotel for price, close to restaurant and grocery store.”

Hotel and staff - great - very clean. Enjoyed the hot breakfast with "make your own waffles", fruit and bagels, juice etc. I would recommend that if you were to stay here, to ask for a room at the back of the hotel - away from the I-5 traffic noise.

“Better than expected...”

We were very impressed with this hotel! It far exceeded our expectation for a 2.5 star rating hotel. The room was quiet despite its proximity to the freeway and our room was clean. We love the free breakfast! The location is perfect too. It was right between Legoland and the premium outlets.

“Great choice for Legoland Bound Families”

Used to be a Motel 6 or Super 8, but it was obviously updated and it is a great Comfort Inn property. Small and cozy - the pool is very small, but the breakfast was good and you can't beat location. I would have thought it would be quite noisy with the proximity to freeway, but we didn't hear a thing and we had a room facing the highway.

“Awesome Location”

About 1 mile away from the beach. The hotel was in excellent conditions. Somewhat small but very clean and great staff. I highly recommend this property!!
