Disapointed with Staff!

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The view of the San Diego skyline, the water and the walkway around the island. The bed linen was outstanding! Bathroom great!
Cons: Knowledgable front desk staff. Better cleaning staff.
Misinformed about wait time for our room.Told it would be "within the hour". Returned an hour later, told it was not ready. Came back half an hour later. Still not ready. At 3:30 (2 hours later) my friend was told that they "weren't sure" if the room was available. I was so upset by this time, I was ready to leave and not come back. The manager stepped in and a key was handed over, finally. If they had been honest right from the start, we could have gone and checked out the rest of the island. Over two hours wasted that we weren't able to get back. Tables on the outside patio were not cleared when patrons left. As a result, it was hard to find a place to sit and this was 2pm. Tables in the bar were not wiped clean, sticky from previous clients. On the way outside of the hotel through the gardens to the rooms, there was a glass left in the foliage that sat there from the time we got there, 1:30pm to 10pm at night. Many staff and guests would have passed by that glass and I wonder what their impression was? I can tell you I was not impressed.

Very relaxing.

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: The relaxing atmosphere and the ducks.
Cons: Restaurant prices are too high.
Location: On Coronado Island everything is close by. It is within walking distance of the Ferry Landing with shops and restaurants and a great relaxing place.
Everything was great except for the hotels restaurant where the food was over the top expensive. $50.00 for breakfast, bacon and eggs for 2 people.

Clean hotel but no beach area

The pool was cold and the jacuzzi was overrun with children. There was no beach access.

Great location provides many options.

Pros: The Hotel appeared to have an excellent staff and my wife an I were pleased with the cleanliness of the facility.
Cons: I felt like there should have been free WiFi in every room. I did like the the fact that the WiFi that was provided was in an enclosed space.
Location: We appreciated the close proximity to Coronado's Ferry Landing and Orange Avenue shops. We just scratched the surface on things to do .
We loved our stay. This facility was in close proximity to the Coronado City Beach which is one of the best around. Coronado Ferry Landing is just a short walk away and we got a good sampling of local marine life simply by walking the boardwalk. The Landing has plenty of decent shops and has both casual dining and fine cuisine. The ferry and Coronado Bridge make downtown San Diego easily accessible and there is plenty to do there with the Gas Lamp District, Midway Museum and Convention Center. Torrey Pines Trail and Beach and the San Diego Zoo also provided great entertainment. Would love to revisit in the not to distant future.

Great Hotel on Coronado across bay from San Diego

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff, easy parking.
Cons: More comfortable mattresses and pillows
Location: Coronado has nice beaches, not too far from downtown San Diego easy to get to by car or by taking the ferry across the bay. Biking and water sports.
The hotel was very nice, clean in a very beautiful area. Check in was efficient and easy, staff was very friendly. Parking was convenient.(Had to pay a lot but that is typical for California) The only minor issue was that the beds and pillows were not very comfortable.

Wonderful Hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Cons: Free wifi, cheaper parking
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for the second year in a row. This hotel is in a great location - walking distance to lots of restaurants, ferry to down town San Diego, and the walking path along the water. The resort is quiet, pool is great, rooms are clean and spacious, grounds are lovely, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the fruit infused water in the lobby! A nice place to stay!
