Old Town Adventure in San Diego

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: If anything, a chiffarobe to hang clothing.
Location: Noted above.
The Cosmopolitan is right in the middle of Old Town in San Diego, therefore, very convenient to all the attractions in this favorite tourist destination. The historical hotel is positively charming. The room in which we stayed was furnished with authentic antiques including a copper tub. Meticulously clean, the hardwood floors glistened, and the victorian queen size bed was covered with crisp, white linens. Most impressive was the staff. We were greeted warmly and treated by everyone with courtesy and graciousness. The on-site restaurant is quite nice also with good, reasonably priced food. A continental breakfast with home-made warm orange scones, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice, was served on a table set on the veranda outside our room. Ghosts are reputed to haunt the hotel, esp. that of Juan Bandini, who once lived in the hotel, however non were spotted during out visit. Wonderful, memorable experience.
