“great place to stay!”

This hotel was about 15-20 minutes from everything we wanted to do (seaworld, san diego zoo, downtown, la jolla, and old town). The staff was friendly and the lobby was tastefully decorated. They have a small bar and restaurant. Our room came with a free breakfast buffet and the food was good with lots of options. Our room was big and clean and the bathroom was nice as well. We used the pool and hot tub two of the nights. The pool was not heated as advertised but was big. Outside of the pool was a fireplace and small seating area that was really cozy. They had about four different sports teams staying the weekend we were there. The only inconvenience that caused us was during breakfast because they took up all of the seats and we had to wait in line for food one of the days. We really enjoyed our stay and I will definitely come back the next time we visit San Diego!

Area recommendations

We loved old town and had great food at the Coyote restaurant there. They make homemade fresh tortillas out front too that were so good! La Jolla and downtown were really nice but parking was difficult in those areas and you have to pay. We were traveling with our daughter who is almost two and had trouble finding family friendly restaurants in those two areas as well.

“Not too impressed with a hotel that supposedly was just renovated!”

I think I would rather pay $30 more and stay at the Hyatt in La Jolla. I was extremely dissappointed in the overall condition of the hotel. Was supposedly renovated recently, so one would think that they could at least vaccuum and shampoo the carpeting in the hallways and elevator! Room was good, and bathroom clean. The breakfast was the best thing about our stay!

“Very Good Hotel”

The hotel is very good! We travelled in different cities in US. This is the best of what we stayed, even better than some famous brand hotel. The room is clean, fashion, comfortable. The staff is warming. The location is near attractions and supermarkets. We are very satisfied with the stay in the hotel.

“Great hotel”

The hotel is located a bit far from downtown, but I think it's worth the drive to live in such a clean, comfortable hotel. The ambiance is great; the service is great; and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I also had the hot breakfast buffet included in my stay, which was delicious! I was especially impressed by the wait staff in the breakfast area -- they were very courteous and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

“Best Breakfast Buffet”

The room was so large with a sofa and desk. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection with an omelette bar. The last day we had yummy lox and bagels.
