“great stay”

close to downtown. super safe, not ghetto at all. room was great, bed was comfy. but the pillow had a little dry blood stain, so i called the front office and they took care of it. starbucks 24/7. location is great, quiet, and it wasn't too far from any places. very comforting and felt really safe

“Wonderful stay in San Diego”

We had a wonderful time in San Diego. The hotel was great. We will forgive you for hiding the sun during our trip. We enjoyed gathering with all the other couple in the outside courtyard. It was the perfect gathering place. We also took full advantage of the conveinences you offered to business people, the interactive computer with attactions, food, and shopping in the lobby. It was also really nice to be able to print all our boarding passes and check our email while we traveled. Over all, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Not Bad”

After talking to the receptionist, I was able to secure a much earlier check-in than normally allowed. All the staff was kind and courteous. I only have two negative things to add: 1. There aren't a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. 2. The fitness center isn't very big. All they have is a few treadmills, elliptical machines, and a set of dumbbells.

“Nice Hotel, Needs Some Better A/C Units”

Overall I've been happy with the Courtyard. It's close to the place I visit on business and you can't beat the fact that it's across from Karl Strauss. One minor complaint is that it can be difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature in the rooms while also having the benefit of white noise from a fan. The A/C units in the room (at least in the one I stayed in this past visit) do not allow the fan to be set to always run without switching away from the Cool setting. This means the A/C units can either run the fan or they can cool the room, not both. Travelers who like to have the fan running to have some white noise may find that the temperature in the room increases several degrees overnight.

“Perfect location”

Friendly staff and great location. We wanted to be close to downtown San Diego without paying for parking and dealing with the crowds, so Courtyard worked out perfectly. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bath/shower could use an upgrade, but overall a great stay. We will definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay! Easy to find. Also very close to UCSD campus.
