Less than expectedPosted Oct 2, 2013
Location: Did not venture close by. Had other obligations away from the hotel area.
The hotel was less than desireable. The carpet was stained and torn. The couch had holes in it and the seam was gapping open. The chair had one arm half fallen off. The air conditioner was small for the space and did not cool the whole area. We actually left early and rented another hotel room elsewhere. The room had a sour smell which in the heat made it worse.

Poor ExperiencePosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Didn't really stay. Check in was good. Walked in room then smelled, to me, like insecticide, walked right out. Poor quality furniture too, not for the price I paid for room.

Days InnPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Price and size of room we good.
Cons: Breakfast could be better.
Location: Location was not great. Far from the zoo and neighborhood looked sketchy.
We walked into the room and it hadn't even been cleaned. We requested another room abd it was much better.

bathtub was rusty, the furniture, carpet smelledPosted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: I was tired the bed seemed clean
Cons: there was a lot that could be improved, it was very obvious
Location: was not close to anything
the room smelled, we had to leave the window open to cut the smell down, the furniture was very worn, with tears, the bathtub was very rusty, concerns with taking your shoes off on the carpet and in the shower/ The hot tub was peeling, swimming pool extremely small, poor location, had to travel to get anywhere.

This hotel is a good value considering it's just outside Mission Valley, the in room services are very good (excellent cable service, coffee service, complimentary shampoo, etc), the rooms are very clean and appear to have very recently been renovated. I had a "mini-suite" with a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, sink, and a super cool, easy to use coffee maker. These mini-suites are very spacious, especially the bedroom area. Very good value.

Horrible MotelPosted Aug 9, 2013
Cons: Close it out! You can't cheat people like this.
Location: Not much to do near by at all.
The motel was named as "Days Inn" such that I thought the quality of the motel is controlled under Days Inn regulation. But, it was not. It can't be any worse than any others. Whole carpet was so dirty with moisture and fungus. The sink drain was not working and I stopped to use immediately. However, in the morning, whole dirty, bad smell water overflowed from dranage. I believe those water coming from upstair. Terrible! I have never been in those kind of room before. Furthermore, on expedia and their own web sites stats as "Remodeled". I want to ask the owner of the motel "What was THE REMODELED?"

Hotel is not recently renovatedPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: That it's close to SDSU.
Cons: Replace the dilapidated sofa and carpeting.
Location: Not much to do near by but it's close to SDSU.
The web site advertised that it's recently renovated but the carpet is worn and smelly; they tried to chemically masked the urine smell but it's there. The sofa have seen much better days, it's torn and no supports what so ever. All you feel is the sofa frame. Goodwill has better furniture.

Not thrilledPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The pictures look A LOT better than the room really is. We booked 4 night and only stayed for 2 because of some ants in the room and they were sold out. The staff however were extremely nice and offered to not charge us for the two nights since they were sold out and couldn't give us another room. I have no issues with the customer service. But the rooms are old the carpet looked like it had never been shampooed before. The tub leaked from the floor. The lights in the bathroom had no covers and were rusted. The beds were clean. The ceiling is paper thin. All we heard all night was the people walking back an fourth. We did have the "Suite" but it's not worth the price and being as far from the beach.
