Hotel needs to update their website!!!!!Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: We loved the location. LOVED IT!!! The staff was helpful and kind.
Cons: Remove rust inside & outside to keep it looking well cared for. They also need to clean their bathroom vents.
Location: Loved the location. Wonderful restaurants!!!
A few things we didn't get to enjoy due to misinformation on their website. NO HBO!!!!! They also say "Complimentary" use of listed items but they "CHARGE" for them. That's NOT complimentary!! They also need to remove "newly renovated".

Very nice hotel. Rooms were OK.Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: It was clean, the carpet could use cleaning. But, other then that it was very nice
Cons: We asked the office clerk to let us know where the hotel got it art work but, never heard back from them.
Location: Just the two restaurants in the local area. They were very good.
Great view of the ocean. We liked that we could sit behind some glass and see the ocean

Not Business FriendlyPosted May 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel may be fine for vacation travel; but if you are on business in LaJolla or San Diego this may not be the place for you. I arrived later ( 8PM) and the office was closed with a sign" helping other guests". I called the main number 3 times for a response and was told " you could not have been waiting that long". Not a friendly or polite welcome. When I asked about using the parking meters outside the hotel; clerk did not know information about use. Office does not open till 8 AM so if you have to check out for an early meeting you can't get your receipt. Air conditioner was wall mounted and controls hard to reach if you are short. It is located next door to Jakes and Neptune's Cove restaurants and hotel is on the beach. I won't be staying there again

Great location....Posted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
We've stayed at this hotel in the past. Hotel is older, and shows some wear, but that is trumped by the location. Amazing location, right on the beach, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. We will be visiting again soon.

Its beach front...Posted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
That is the only thing I can say about this hotel. Rooms and beds are dated and old. No breakfast, and no real locations to eat unless you drive to freeway. As much as we paid, expected more. Will look at a different location next time.

It is on the beach!!Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: It is on the beach. Clean. Has sitting areas and BBQ area with picnic tables.
Location: Restaurants, cafés. Walking trails and park benches to look out over the ocean.
You don't spend much time in your hotel room when the beach is outside the door! You can walk to Del Mar's upscale restaurants, cafe's, Starbucks and several novelty shops. There are walking paths and grassy areas for picnics. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. It is moderately priced -and- right on the beach!

Cheap interiorPosted May 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Cheap stingy owner charges up to $220 a night and bathroom has 99 cents shower head. They are milking the location and ripping off the customers.
