Nice hotel, close to the beach. Very cheapPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Location and cost
You get what you pay for and in this case I was surprised. We didn't pay very much and the room was right on the beach. Perfect. Ran outside to catch the sunrise and hear the waves. Do not over pay for your stay anywhere else. Little kitchen area was perfect.

Convenient to the beach.Posted Nov 10, 2013
The room was large and comfortable, and was clean except for the carpet. The drapes were a little "thin" so the exterior light filtered in, making it difficult to sleep. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed the continental breakfast every day. Overall, our stay was quite satisfactory. Parking was a problem on two of the nights, but that wasn't the hotel's fault and they did provide alternate parking a couple blocks away at another hotel.

Long weekend get-awayPosted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: Location for hanging out around PB was excellent. Close walking distance to anything you'd want to do. Easy access to I-5.
Cons: Parking is always a hassle near PB. Parking is offered at their sister property, about two blocks away. No problem for me at all. Easy short walk!
Location: Beach and boardwalk are the "mainstays". Restaurants and shops all over Mission Blvd. and Garnet. Plethora of bars if you're so inclined.
Older but updated facility. Room was updated, but kind of smelled old, as "grandma's house". Friendly staff that offered me my choice of 1st or 2nd floor room. My room was tidied up daily with fresh towels. Nicely maintained. Minor concern would be the extreme lighting outside each door in the upper walkway. While it might provide for a safe environment, they could be a bit dimmer or at least have darker curtains on the glass doors. Nice granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, but the height of the bathroom countertop did not allow the toilet lid or seat to stay up. A bit inconvenient for a guy. Bathroom sink needs attention as the hot water handle leaked. Minor issue and meant to bring it to their attention as they probably weren't aware of it. Overall, a nice facility. My family stayed here about 8 years ago and it is nicer now. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, simple and awesome location.Posted Oct 22, 2013
Cons: They could use more or fluffier pillows. I usually don't complain about something like this, but there were only two very flat pillows on the bed.
Location: This area of Pacific Beach is beautiful with walking access to the beach. There are tons of bars, restaurants and some beach stores.
This hotel was not fancy by any means, but it was clean and simple. It had everything we needed, and the beach location was fantastic.

Absolutely no complaints. The hotel is older, but it was clean and comfortable, you cannot beat the location. Will definitely stay again!

Very Cozy.Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: I liked the staff, location and cleaniness of the property/room.
Cons: Only minor issue was not having a/c, and that is only because I wasn't confortable sleeping witht eh windows open.
Location: The beach, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment is all within walking distance.
The room was very clean and had fresh towels and linens upon my arrival. The hotel staff was so nice. The free breakfast was fresh daily and I was always greeted by a cheery staff member. The location was excellent also, by the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

cozy beach-adjacent conveniencePosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
If you're looking for an affordable place to stay in the heart of Pacific Beach, this is it. Steps from the ocean, the rooms all feature convenient kitchenettes that make it feel like home away from home. The down sides are that the place is a little old and outdated, and there is no air conditioning so be prepared to borrow a fan from the front desk if you happen to go on a super hot weekend. Also the bed covers are scratchy, and there are only 2 rooms with a full ocean view. The parking is limited - but once you're in, there's no need to move your car because everything you need and more is right there.

If you expect little its perfect for youPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
When you search this hotel online the photo doesn't show it is side by side to other hotels and right in front of the public restrooms on the beach. Lots of homeless sleeping around it. The rooms have no air conditioning on a 100 degree day the heat stayed in it. Had to sleep with windows open on the bottom floor . Kind of scary. But it was oceanfront as close as oceanfront can get in Pacific Beach with a public road between you and the sidewalk to the ocean.

There were no wash cloths no coffee pot and no hangers. I bought my own hangers and they brought me a coffee pot 3 days later.
