Lovely view and great location

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Cons: Parking is a problem. The hotel has only five spaces available on the property. Additional parking is available 2 blocks away at a sister property.
Rooms are very spacious with sitting area, small kitchenette and separate bedroom. Mostly remodeled with a great view of the beach and ocean. The location was convenient for driving to various attractions and the had bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Bella solo la posizione, vicina al mare

Posted Dec 31, 2014
L'albergo è molto vecchio, con moquette al pavimento sporca. La camera è spaziosa con una bella cucina. La cosa più bella è sicuramente la posizione, molto vicina al mare

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: The location is perfect if you want to hang out around Pacific Beach, right next to the beach.
Cons: Style is a bit outdated and the rooms smell a bit on first entering but other than that I love this place!
Location: Right next to the beach. Close to Garnet Ave where most of the popular Pacific Beach bars and restaurants are.
Check-in quick and easy, friendly staff. Stayed in a room on the second level. Our stays at this hotel have always been last minute decisions and we have never been let down. The first time we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find that you not only get a room but a full kitchen which if you are staying for longer is really convenient! The location is fantastic and for the price you can't beat it! Beds are super comfy!

on the beach

Pros: near the beach
Cons: parking and bathroom
Location: plenty of restaurants close by and the beach at your doorstep
If you want to park at the location, forget it. There is absolutely zero parking unless you are handicapped and utilize the one handicap parking space. Otherwise you have to park a block away at one of their sister hotels. The room was comfortable but the bathroom had some serious design flaws particularly for a male. I probably would not stay at this location again

Somewhat clean. Nice location.

The hotel was right on the beach, which is why we booked it. The room was alright, nothing special. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice big TV. There was also a full kitchen which was nice, but we didn't get a chance to use it! The bathroom was less than impressive. Dirty tile, outdated fixtures and a bad-smelling sink and shower. Overall, this hotel was nice for a quick, cheap night in-and-out in which you're not in the room too often, which is what I was looking for!

Wanna hear the ocean at night?

Posted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for a local mid week mini vacation. Location was excellent! Literally across the street from the boardwalk/beach and 1-2 blocks from the Crystal Pier, restaurants and night life also close by. The place is more like a motel than a hotel, no amenities. It was not very quiet and neither was the neighborhood, so no sleeping in. Parking was difficult, a lot of homeless people in the area (but I felt safe)and the rooms needed some repair. The beds were extra firm and I did not sleep well, but I did enjoy hearing the ocean in the stillness of the middle of the night. I would stay again, for the price of the deal I found, but I would bring a mattress topper or lots of extra pillows!

Good spot, decent stay.

Posted Oct 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located in a prime spot: half a block from Pacific Beach, a block or two away from some excellent food, a short drive from downtown...it really is the reason you pay to stay here. The hotel itself is small and older. We had an issue with our bathroom sink clogging AND if you are a stickler for A/C you'd better find another hotel. Luckily during our stay San Diego had a decent cool front so the room stayed comfortable, but had it been any hotter it would have been unbearable. The other issue was parking. The spots in front of the hotel are public and used for beach goers which leaves none for patrons of the hotel. They do have a sister hotel two blocks away that you can use and which honestly has better parking (off the street, secluded, a little more secure)...if you don't mind the walk.
