Ok for one night

Posted Apr 13, 2015
This hotel is just not what I would expect as far as standards go for a Doubletree Hilton. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are oddly placed and not very pleasing to the eye. We dialed the front desk from our room about 4 different times and never actually got anyone. We just waited on hold for 10 mintues then were forced to go down to the lobby to get our concerns addressed. How does a hotel not answer the phone calls of it's guests?! There were dishes just hanging out in the hallway near the elevators, the hotel seemed under staffed and this may seem petty but the beds didn't have fitted sheets on them. Just regular sheets placed over the bed. Overall just an ok experience. I would not have wanted to stay more than 1 night for that price.

good location for price

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Good location near Little Italy
Cons: The staffing
Location: good
I had a pleasant stay, the hotel has all that you require for a short stay in San Diego. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were unfriendly and seemed understaffed/overworked.

Good hotel for business or downtown nightlife.

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Frequent airport shuttle.
Location: Easy walking distance to the Gaslight district. 30 minutes walk to the Convention centre.
Four night stay for business. Meetings were at other hotels and in the Convention Centre. I wanted to keep fit so walked around downtown area. Excellent selection for breakfast but didn't eat other meals in the hotel so I cant comment.

Convenient Location

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Service and hotel condition
Hotels proximity to the airport is a plus, especially when traveling for business. Hotel boasted amenities that they did not deliver on i.e. easy access to printing from laptops/smart phones and functional computers in their "Business Center" which consists of 3 PCs in the lobby which would have been fine if if the computers actually worked. The facility itself is noticeably aged and the staff was polite but often times provided inaccurate information even regarding their own facility.

You hear everything!

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Lobby is modern chic. They will give you warm cookies when you check in.
Cons: Hotel needs to improve its balcony doors by adding insulation and upgrade it's plumbing system.
Location: Good location.
I stayed on the 20th floor of this this hotel and it's got a balcony without a proper sound proofed door. At night when I go to bed, I could hear the wind whirling, traffics from below and above, since it was close to the airport. It is the first time that I feel like I need to have a pair of ear plugs to sleep. Next day, I got move to a different room but still on the 20th floor it's the same if not worse. At night, I could hear the plumbing clinkling in addition to all the sounds coming in from the balcony. For the two nights that I stayed for my conference in town, I feel like I've been sleeping on the street! Lastly, when I check out the hotel got messed up with my breakfast bill and over charged me. I have to wait 20 minutes for them to settle my bill for me.

Cold Showers?

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: Much of the facilities are in need of upgrade or repair.
The hotel staff was wonderful, but the facilities are in real need of upkeep and repair. Two out of the four mornings there I was forced to take a cold shower due to the lack of hot water. The location is nice.

Hotel staff was friendly and room was clean. The airport shuttle was great and always on time. I do wish this hotel provided shuttle service to other points in town (the convention center or zoo, perhaps?). It is also a bit of a hike to get to most places downtown if you are walking, but doable.

A good post cruise hotel.

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities (great pool and sun deck) and the dining room was a very pleasant surprise.
Cons: The lobby decor looks a bit tired as does the restaurant.....but dinner was excellent...we were pleasantly surprised.
We disembarked our cruise ship and were pleased with how close the hotel was from the pier. Our room wasn't ready but the staff were very accommodating. Overall, a positive experience.

Bijna alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand

Pros: Leuke ligging
Parkeerplaats te duur en jammer dat het ontbijt niet bij de prijs was inbegrepen
