Nice HotelPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: clean and comfortable
Cons: elevators are currently being updated so not all were working when we were there, expect some waits
Location: across the street in the mall a great breakfast, lunch place Corner Bakery
Good hotel, decent breakfast, free drinks during happy hour, parking fill cost you $25 a night, sign up for Hilton Rewards , free, before you go so you can get free WiFi, ask for a room away from the elevators

It's good but ...Posted Jul 29, 2015
I confirmed with the hotel and Expedia that I have a suite with two double beds. When I checked in, I found its a single kind bed instead of two double beds. When I called the front desk about this, they said that all the suites with double beds are sold out and they can't do anything about this. That's very unprofessional.

All good except the WiFiPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Location, cleaniness, staff friendliness and the breakfast
Cons: WiFi needs to work reliably.
Location: Good restaurants nearby, and mall to walk around in.
For some reason, WiFi was extremely unreliable and unfortunately I couldn't finish my work through WiFi and had to rely on my Cell phone Data connection to do my office work - very painful on a small screen. Hope they improve the WiFi connection and it doesn't keep dropping every 5 minutes.

Hotel is shabbyPosted Jul 20, 2015
Stayed two nights. Housekeeping didn't clean the room. Front desk staff were great. Bar staff and breakfast staff were unpleasant. Wouldn't stay there again and I usually love Embassy Suites.

It was excellent! Best hotel I've stayed so far. Shopping mall & restaurants are right across the hotel.

La Jolla, away from beachPosted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Great breakfast and the room we were given was a nice suite, good size.
Cons: Free parking and WiFi
Location: Beaches were about a 20 minute drive. There is a large mall across the street.
This hotel is more inland, near UCSD. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to drive to La Jolla beaches. The hotel is clean, included breakfast is good, pool area is nice. Our biggest disappointment was all the additional fees. Parking was $25/night and WiFi was $10/day, limited to three devices (and it wasn't the greatest WiFi). So, even though the room rate seemed good, by the time our stay was over, we had huge additional charges.

The free drinks at night and free breakfast in the AM more than make up for paying to park!!!

Very disappointing experience!!!Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Courteous staff
Cons: see above..
We booked this hotel and were very disappointed. There was absolutely nothing luxurious about this place for the price. Housekeeping was very poor, broken elevators and no bellmen or carts available to transport our luggage to our room. With this in mind, it took 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage to our room. Indoor pool seemed dirty and stinky. No bueno..So sad we wasted our money!!!!
