“Best place to stay with family”

Everything from the time we checked-in to the hotel was excellent. Customer service was the best. The only regret I had was the complimentary breakfast. There was hardly anything to eat. Otherwise, this is the best place to stay with family.

“A good hotel for a good price”

I was there two years ago and it was ok. They have redone the rooms and I thought it was quite nice. Not really high-end but a really good moderate place with really reasonable rates. The kitchonettes were nicely equiped.

Great setting with the Village a comfortable walk. Close to freeway but very quiet.

Extended Stay Carlsbad was all we had been told it would be.

Shower curtain was dirty, beds were missing dust ruffles so you could see the box spring which was in poor condition, one toilet hinge was missing and both were dirty. Also, no shampoo was provided. I would recommend the hotel, but next time would complain to the staff about the above items.

“Great Spacious Rooms, Poor Customer Service”

The room condition is great. The service of the staff up at the front desk is poor. I was unable to get a room key that worked in opening my hotel room door as I was checking in, the problem did eventually get resolved, but I was treated so rudely as I requested help and had to wait for assistance.

“Even non-smoking rooms stink of cigarettes”

We requested a non-smoking room and ended up with a room on the first floor. The entire hallway outside our room smelled like air freshener and had a strong chemical odor. Our room was okay and didn't smell of smoke. However, when we would go into the bathroom and turn on the fan, the entire bathroom immediately reeked of cigarettes. It appears that many rooms share the same ventilation system in the bathrooms so the smoke travels far and wide through the rooms. , considering smoking is allowed in this hotel. If you are allergic or sensitive to smoke, do not stay here! I learned my lesson the hard way, unfortunately.
