“Nickel and Dime You”
Hotel was OK. Nothing special, but location was good. But you had to pay $5 to get an Internet access code. Upon connecting with the code, I was prompted to pay more for more usable internet speeds. Basic speed was around 200K. Next was the coffee pot provided in the room. 1st packet was free. when I ask for additional packets on subsequent days, was told it was $1 for each coffee packet. I choice a local coffee shop instead to get my coffee. I understanding being thrifty, but this was beyond reasonable. Would think twice before choosing Extended Stay America again.
“Sign says renovating in 11/2011”
The hotel in its current state is uncomfortable, the room had a strong stale smell when we went in (seemed to clear up once the air conditioner was running). Bed linens had tape with "F" 's all over them. The air conditioner was very noisy when it kicked on. The hotel does have a sign in the lobby that they are going to renovate floor by floor starting 11/2011.....so maybe that will help.
“They ran out of toilet paper and bath towels.”
The desk staff was friendly but quality of the hotel was poor. Our non smoking room smelled like an ash tray and when we voiced a concern we were told it was one of our neighbors but nothing was done to fix the situation. On the second day our refrigerator broke and we had to put our food in an ice chest until the maintenance crew could fix it four hours later. That night we requested towels and toilet paper and we were told they ran out and wouldn't have more until morning. Really?????? That sums it up.
“People don't know how to Run it”
When I first came to check into the hotel they gave us a room and when we got everything into the room, the room was being used buy someone else and it was dirty in there. We then went down stairs to talk to the person and she did not believe us, then she had to make us wait so that she could check it, then she gave us a new room that was said to be nicer and just remodeled. We got the keys but they would not work for the door, I had to go back to the front and tell her, she then gave us another key and had to force open the door by banging into it. She let us in, and we asked her if the pool was heated? She told us it was but that there was not spa in there, plus that she had no pools keys for the time being and that we would have to come by later to get the keys. I looked out at the pool and there were only 3 people out there and I was thinking to myself that this place my only have like 3 keys for like 100 rooms because there are only like 3 people out there. Anyway there was rust on the shower head and drain. The pillows had some sort of chemical.. There was no oven in the place, because I called them and one of the workers told me they did but there was not so they lied to me. It was disaster! Stay away from the place please.
“Extended Stay should have an Extended Cleaning...”
We chose this hotel because it was pretty close to our vacation spot and near the beach- not to mention it had a mini kitchen in the room which we thought would be convinient. When we walked into our room the first thing we wanted to do was use the restroom. We had our toddler with us and when i went to sit him down, noticed there was dry urine still on the toilet seat...i was disguisted! then, at after taking a closer look, you could tell the room hadn't been cleaned properly and there was a weird smell. We asked to get moved and when we entered the second room, noticed there was still sand and hair in the shower tub...not cool. I personally had to clean it before feeling comfortable enough to shower. It's obvious people stay for an "extended" amount of time here but, the cleaning of the room should be just as extensive. We will never stay stay in one of these hotels again!
“Not worth the cost”
Hotel stay is ok, but not satisfied with the items in full kitchen. Not yet all worth for the amount paid.
“Hotel was clean. Did not know that I needed to pay extra money to get fresh towels and room cleaned.”
Did not know I needed to pay extra money to get fresh towels and to get room cleaned. Would hav paid and thought I made that clear but only did one time. Miscommunication. Nice location and clean overall.Clerks were nice.
“My trip to Carlsbad”
It was a fine hotel. Great price compared to other hotels within the same location.
“Good for one night”
Stayed in this hotel for one night. Room was pretty big and had new curtains and bed linens. Bed was kind of hard and bathroom looked like it could use a deep cleaning. Price and location is good for a short trip.
“A good and affordable hotel.”
Efficient check-in. Good location, nearby the Premium Factory Outlet.
