So close to the highway and harbor

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Everything was phenomenal.
Cons: Valet parking is forced. It would be great to have a parking option that is not $30/day.
Location: Harbor, The Big Bay, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy are all close by.
We had checked in to another hotel and it was terrible. With a small child, we needed something that was much safer and comfortable. We called and were told that, although check-in was 3pm the next day, we could come early due to our situation and were checked in at 1030 am the next morning. Our room was unbelievable, with a wonderful view of the harbor. We were given a crib for our baby, the room was clean and comfortable, and most importantly, the service was unbelievable. From the valet parking, to the front desk staff, to the restaurant staff, all were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego.

Fairly pleasing hotel

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Cons: Better restaurant facility.
Hotel is located 10-15 minute walk from main downtown area less than 10 minutes from the airport on the hotel free shuttle. Rooms are fair size and comfort able. The restaurant is disappointing with a limited bar menu and no buffet breakfast. I found it necessary to eat all meals at the Double Tree hotel restaurant just across the street where a full service restaurant is provided with a good buffet breakfast ( eat as much as you like at a very reasonable price).

The recent remodel can't hide the all the imperfections of the hotel. Areas of room were dirty and out if date with the rest of the room. Plus the wifi doesn't work in the room, and I was told they are working on it. Doubt it. To me it seems like the over friendliness of the staff is to compensate for the aging hotels imperfections.

Bad wifi

Posted Jun 2, 2015
The only issue I had was the wifi was horrible. I had a hard time getting my work done bc I had to go down to the lobby for the Internet to even work. Everything else was great.

Nice hotel close to Everything I wanted to do

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly and seemed eager to please and help out. From check in through checkout they were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: They should either tell you when you check in about the amenities they offer or have information in the room about them.
Location: The location is great ...near so many things that you can walk to ; Horton Plazza for shoping ,Seaport Village for shopping & eating.
I was able to walk to Hillcrest and Seaport Village...and I was only a few short blocks away from the Gasslamp district . The bed & pillows were comfortable and I slept well.

Good hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2015
The hotel is in a busy area, right next to the freeway. The pool is right next to the freeway entrance and there really isn't any privacy. The staff is awesome! Kaitlyn( I think it's her name) was really kind and professional. The hotel bar staff was very kind. The tacos are the best! I really enjoy the happy hour and the specials they have. Will definitely be visiting the bar again.

No parking?!

Posted May 23, 2015
The hotel is in an odd area where a lot of homeless people hang out. I was however pleasantly surprised that I did not get asked for money once during my 1 week stay. The worst part about the hotel was the valet only parking at $30 a night. I was forced to find street parking every evening which sometimes put me a couple blocks away from the hotel.
